She thought she saw the sun
Peering through the shadow of the rain
Alas it was but dim fictitious light
Shone through reflected dreamy-eyed moonbeams
She still resided deeply in her storm
Still found no comfort nestled in her clouds

Then womanhood brought still more trembling clouds
Though in her soul still she had sought the sun
To dragon-slay the shadows in the storm
And dry the tears abandoned in the rain
Before the infant lost in still moonbeams
Who might have brought a whispering of light...
