Mesa Court

Open in 1965, Mesa Court was the first Residence Hall Community at UCI.   Mesa Court currently houses 1200 undergraduate students in 19 residence halls.  Each residence hall accommodates between 55 and 70 residents in suite-style layout.  Although Mesa Court is a popular choice among continuing students, the majority of the population is freshmen.
Each hall in Mesa Court is coeducational with single-gender suites.   All residents in a suite share bathroom facilities.  In addition to centralized laundry facilities, each hall has its own coin-operated laundry facilites and small kitchens available for resident use.

The large living rooms in each hall are ideal for hall meetings, social programs, workshop presentations, or for lounging around with fellow residents.

Many of the halls in Mesa Court have special interest themes and academic courses that are associated with them.  These particular halls provide residents with opportunities to expand their academic studies in new and interesting directions.

Mesa Court is currently undergoing an expansion which is expected to be completed by Fall, 2002.
