For One I Love
Trezure Fenton

The girl fell to her knees

Begging for her life, screaming mercy

She begged for fate to wait

But it was too little, too late

She wanted him to be around

Last time she saw him it was safe and sound

She waited though for her change

But she felt it at first glance

He felt the world was against him

Since then his future dim

He rebelled, wore the flag with pride

Only going to the girl to confide

She played the part he needed her to-

He chose her before she knew

She helped him choose his path

Together they forged their own map

But that map lies empty now

Tears raining, smearing the ink around

He broke her heart once upon a time

She's come undone now inside

Loss of faith, of service given

He didnt want to go on living

He left her for his own immortality

Trying all along to make his father see

Disowned and without honor

Above him his father would saunter

The boy had his own sense of honor

Trajically, he chose to falter

She stands alone in the universe

Pondering at his peculiar curse

She stared at the empty sky

Wondering why the young must die.
