With Watergate behind us...the end of Viet Nam...our guys were coming home...confused...we took a break in Mexico...to re-evaluate and empower our loyalties to this wonderful country...we made a difference by being active!
Peace, Love, and Persuasion...
We gave you peace when you wanted war.
We gave you love when you wanted hate.
We gave you persuasion when you wanted silence.
All these things confused your minds and your patriotism.
Because of our love for our country...we gave you these things.
Our country, right or wrong...still our country.(Thomas Payne???)
We give these words for progress and peace,
Our past will never rule our future.
The Global Village is here...nurturing humanity.
May those who abhor violence rule the day.
And, may those who reign by terror...pass away.
