-Born by the name of Myra Ellen Amos on August 22, 1963 in Newton North Carolina

- Parents... Dr. Edison Amos and Mary Ellen Amos

- Grew up in a christian home. Her father is a methodist minister.

- Began playing the piano at age 2

- Began writing her own music at age 4

- At age 5, was the youngest person ever to be admitted to the Peabody conservatory, where she won a scholorship.

- Changed her name to Tori at age 17

- At age 21, moved to Los Angeles to perform with her punk band "Y Kant Tori Read"

- She moved to England, where she now lives after her band didnt work out.

- Calls her fans Ears with feet
