So I asked my freinds sister and she gave me Slaughter House-5. I loved and was planing on keeping it. But then it turned out she actually hated the book and let me keep it. Well, S5 was out of the library, so she let me read Slapstick instead. I blazed through that book, laughing and feeling sad at the same time, and there's been no turing back. What is your favourite book by Kurt Vonnegut?: Tough call between Bluebeard and Breakfast of Champions. How has the works of Vonnegut affected your life?:I often finish reading one of his passages and say to myself "That's exactly what I was going to say!" He has made me laugh, cry, thing, feel, and enjoy life more than any other writer, and, for that, I'll always be grateful to him. Other than Vonnegut, what do you read? : Elmore Leonard, Joseph Heller, Hunter Thompson, a little Stephen King now and again, Dave Barry, Lewis Grizzard, P.J. O'Rourke, Al Frankin, and Richard Scarey. I've just finished Sideshow by Douglas Shawcross (about American politics in the early 70's and the downfall of Cambodia) and I found it extremely compelling.
