One More Lie

The moon is full tonight.

But the girl, she takes no delight.

Her life is explosive this night.

All is dark, nothing light.

A man she thought she knew,

Broke her trust, now she doesn't know what to do.

Her eyes only see blue,

She's lost, been used.

She wonders why her perfect sky tore.

No reason for the granted she's taken for.

Nothing left to do, but shut the door.

But then she'd be without him forever more.

Her eyes filled with tears,

Her soul aged beyond her years.

She's drowning in her fears.

They've come way to near.

She turned him away,

Wanting to treat him the same way.

But she did that yesterday.

She took him back today.

She's giving herself to him.

She's in his grasp then.

Doesn't know if she can do this again.

Hoping his determination doesn't end.

He's abused her mentally.

Taken from her physically.

She cries silently.

He holds her tiredly.

He's heard her cry,

Watched her slowly die.

Saw her crumble before his eye.

He did nothing 'cept say good-bye.

Now he's back once more.

She's more cautious than before.

She doesn't want to believe him anymore.

But lets herself believe him before she walks out the door.

She believes now that he won't lie.

Or at least she's letting herself believe this night.

She doesn't want to think of saying good-bye.

Should he tell her one more lie.
