We've finally made it through the pain.
We've finally come to the sunshine,
We've finally gotten out of the rain.
You stood by my side, through thick and thin,
You were there to wipe the tears from my face,
You were there to lift up my chin.
Even though you were the cause of most of my tears,
You helped me grow up inside,
Now I feel much older than my years.
I want to thank you for everything you've done,
What you've done to me, for me, and with me.
Because if you didn't, we couldn't enjoy the happiness that has begun.
We've finally hit the beginning of something great.
Something that can last forever.
I knew from the beginning, it would be our fate.
Through the bad, you made promises to me,
Some of them you kept, some you did not.
But I know you've learned, don't make promises you cannot keep.
Out of all the promises, the most important one is still there,
That we'll last through this pain and make it to happiness
And you know you kept that promise, we're both still here.
I'm so glad that the pain didn't tear us apart.
Sure it tore each of us apart inside,
But we stayed together, all thanks to the feelings of the heart.
I'm in complete happiness with you here with me,
Even if I don't make it clear to you, I am.
I just have to heal my wounded heart carefully.
Yes, it's wounded, I told you before.
So be patient with me while it heals,
And then I'll be glad to open the door.
Until that precious moment, I want you to know,
No matter what happens or happend between us,
You make me happy, I love you and I'll never let you go.
