The Earth that gives us life,
Takes it just the same.
The sky that holds the sun up,
Still let it fall when the dusk came.
The Moon that slinks within the shadows.
Piercing through the night.
The Stars that shine boldly despite their size.
Full of awesome power and light.
The Man that can not smile,
Laughs endlessly with his eyes.
The Woman that can not break free,
Finally sees where the key lies.
The child that refuses to give up,
Sinks to the ground in tears.
The unborn that will not die,
The mother's innocence taken before her years.
Miracles that are overlooked,
But happen everyday
Promises that are broken,
Till there's nothing left to say.
Love that is taken for granted,
Isn't really love at al,
Hate that can not seem to die
Ends with a single call.
He that cannot see
Can hear all the shame
She that cannot be seen,
Is here all the same.
Love that is not taken,
Is given in hopes beyond all dreams.
Tears that are not wiped away,
Are more painfully beautiful than it seems.
