Because of what it means,
It gives me something on which to lean.
The ring gives me all my joy,
The ring that I got from a very special boy.
A boy who is turning into a man before my eyes,
And who always was, and always will be a surprise.
That one special night was one.
And I know the promise won't come undone,
Because he has promised me,
And I know nothing can come between.
