My 49er Page

You Have Now Entered My Page Dedicated To My Favorite Sport, and Favorite Team.

As Far As I'm Concerned Their Is Only One # 1 Team In The N.F.L. And That Team Is The San Fransico 49ers

My Interest In Football Started around 1958, I was about 10 at the time.

I watched my first Pro Football Game on TV like all the other kids.

John Brodie was a Rookie QB and Two other QB's ran the Hap Hazard 49ers

Red Hickey and George Mira.

At the time, John Brodie was the Man in The N.F.L.

Today-John Brodie is Keeping Busy.

The 49ers had up and down years for awhile.

But No Championships till 1970.

The 49ers didn't really get going as a team until 1970 with Steve Spurrier became the QB.

Western Division Titles Started becoming a regular thing.

In 1976 Jim Plunkett, A 1970 Standout came to the 49er's.

1978-The Great Bill Walsh Brought something New to the 49ers

They were called Superbowl Championships.

In the Golden 1980's, with Bill Walsh, the 49ers came into their own, Finally !

Bill Walsh and Company would bring Three of the Five Superbowl Titles to Us poor beat up fan's.

Superbowl 16 Put the 49ers in the Winning Team Side of the Sports List.

Joe Montana MVP was Fantastic.

San Fransico=26 - Cincinnati=21

Just Three years later, the 49ers would be in the Big Game again.

The Miami Dolphins would find out like the Cincinnati Bengles did Three years before.

Superbowl 19 would be the Best Game so far for the 49ers.

Again Joe Montana would be the MVP.

San Fransico=38 - Miami=16

Bill Walsh and the 49ers return to the Superbowl again

Superbowl 23 would be the Game that Defined the 49ers as True Masters of the Game.

A 10 yard pass from Joe Montana to John Taylor with 34 seconds left to play.

Won the Game for the 49ers and stunned the Cincinnati Fans for the second time in a Superbowl.

Jerry Rice would break All Receiving Records to with the Game MVP.

San Fransico = 20 - Cincinnati = 16

The George Seifert Years with the 49ers.

The Defence would improve as well as the Ground game.

A Balance of Defence first, then Offence.

Would take the 49ers to it second Superbowl in a row.

Superbowl 24 would prove that their is more then Offence to the Game of Football.

The Denver Broncos had a strong Defensive team too.

But Goerge Seiferts 49ers were the Best at the Game.

Joe Montana would get his Record Setting 3rd MVP for the Great Stomping of the Decade.

San Fransico = 55 -- Denver = 10

# 8 - Steve Young Gets the Monkey Off his Back.

And proves once and for all, that He can guide the 49ers to the Division Tital, Threw the Playoffs, and to the Big Game.

AND WIN !

Superbowl 29 would be the Game that would forever silence the critic's and give Steve Young his due.

6 TD Passes to a Record 5th Superbowl Win.

First for Any N.F.L. Team.

The MVP was, of course = Steve Young.

After a few years of Injuries and Team changes, the 49ers return to Championship form.

San Fransico = 49 -- San Diego = 26
