The next day, A.J., Kevin, and Howie walked into Desteny and Melody's hospital room, (Melody had to stay at the hospital because the doctors wanted to make sure she didn't get a infection in her wound). They saw that Nick and Brian were already there (They were not surprised).
"Hey girls, how you doing?" asked A.J., walking over to them, cheerful as ever.
"I'm pretty good," said Melody smiling.
"Fine," mummbled Desteny, looking out the window. Nick was sitting beside her on the bed, holding her hand, as sad look on his face.
A.J. knelled beside her bed and put his elbows on the bed. "What you so sad about girl? You'll be happy. They caught Rachel and she's being charged for 2 accounts of first degree atempted murder and 1 account of murder in the first degree," said A.J.
Desteny turned to him, confused. "First degree murder? But neither of us are dead," said Desteny.
A.J. smiled. "Remember when she pushed you down the stairs?"
"How could I forget?" scoffed Desteny.
"Well remember you heart stopped and the doctors couldn't get is started again?"
Nick shuddered. "I remember that all to well," he said, squessing Desteny's hand.
"Well, because the doctor pronounced you dead, the court decided that she tecnicly did kill you so she'll be charged with first degree murder," smiled A.J.
For the first time that day, Desteny smiled. "That's kind of funny. She tired twice to kill me and failed both times but she'll be punished as if she did kill me," laughed Desteny.
"Sorry to bring this up you guys, but we do still have a concert to do tonight," reminded Howie.
"Do you think you can come Melody?" asked Brian.
"I think so. They're releasing me sometime today?" said Melody.
"Do you think you would be able to come?" Nick asked Desteny.
Desteny shook her head. "The doctor won't even let me walk down the hallway by myself. I don't think they'll let me go to a loud concert," smiled Desteny.
"We'll sing in whispers for you then, ok?" whispered A.J., making a funny face. Desteny laughed and smacked A.J. on the head.
"Just to warn you guys, there is a huge pack of fans outside the hospital. They are practicly breaking the doors 'cause they think we're hurt," warned Kevin.
"How did they find out you guys were here?" asked Melody.
"Fans know all," said Nick mysteriously. Melody beaned him with a pillow.
"Why won't the doctor let you leave?" asked A.J., returning to what Desteny had said before.
"They're worried about the baby," said Desteny, rolling her eyes.
"Baby? What baby?" asked Howie, confused. A.J. and Kevin looked just as confused, if not more.
Brian, Melody, Nick and Desteny looked at each other.
"Oops," said Desteny, sheepishly.
"Uh.... don't tell me. Are you pregnant Desteny?" asked Howie.
"We thought you guys knew," said Brian, sheepishly.
A.J. looked at Nick, grinning. "I didn't know you two were getting busy."
Desteny blushed and looked down at her bed.
"A.J.! What a thing to say," said Nick, blushing too.
A.J. just grinned.
"Hey, don't you guys have to leave after the concert?" asked Melody, changing the subject, seeing that two of her bestfriends were embarrished beyond belief.
"I completely forgot. We are suposse to leave," said Brian.
"I can't leave," said Nick, panicking.
"Nick, I'll still be here when you get back. I'm not going to disapear," Desteny said, with a sad smile.
"Nick, we're going on tour for another week, then we're doing promo stuff. Just ask Donna if you can skip the promo stuff to stay here with Dest," suggested Brian. "I'm sure she'll let you if you explain the situation to her."
"What is your guys mangament going to see about the baby?" asked Desteny worried. She didn't want to get Nick in trouble.
"Tell Donna. She'll understand and help you tell Jonny. Donna's like our mom anyways so she needs to know," said Howie.
Just then, the doctor came in. "Hello everybody." He checked is clipboard. "Melody, you can go home. We found no infections in your wound. Just sign out when you're ready to leave. Desteny, your going to have an altro-sound in a week. That is when we'll find out in the baby is growing properly and will survive. I want you to stay in the hospital till after the ultra-sound just so we can keep an eye on you, alright?" asked the doctor. Desteny nodded and the doctor left.
Nick looked at Desteny. "I'll go phone Donna now."
With that, he ran out the door with Desteny laughing.
