The Next Day
Desteny woke up to her phone ringing next to her. She rolled over groggily and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" she asked groaning.
"Hey Desteny, it's me, Nick. Did I wake you up?" he asked.
"Nah. I always talk like I'm drugged," she said. "Ya I was sleeping but don't worry about it," she said, yawning.
"Sorry. I just wanted to let you know that we are all going to the water park today and wanted to know if you wanted to come," said Nick.
Desteny looked at her clock. It said 9:09 am. "Sure, I'd love to. Did you ask Melody yet?" she asked.
"Yup, Brian phoned her a few minutes ago. She said yup so I decided to phone you to see if ya wanted to join us," answered Nick.
Desteny yawned again. "Ok. How about we meet there in an hour," said Desteny.
Nick laughed. "You and Melody must share a brain cause that's what she suggested too," he said.
Desteny laughed then groaned. "It's too early to be laughing," she groaned.
Nick laughed again. "I'm use to getting up early. We call 8:30 am sleeping in," he said.
"Ugg," groaned Desteny. "I prefer to stay out late then get up early. Anyways, I better get moving if I'm going to meet ya in an hour."
"Ok, see you then," said Nick, then hung up.
Kevin came in Nick room at the moment he said good-bye. "So, little Nicky got up the courage to call big scary girl?" Kevin asked, teasingly.
Nick gave him a dirtly look. "Shut up Kevin," he said, as he got up and went to get ready.
About an hour later, Desteny was standing at the enterence of the water park, waiting for Melody and the guys to arrive. She adjusted her sunglasses on her eyes and leaned up against a piler. It was a really hot day even in the shade so the park was pretty busy.
"Great, and I thought I was going to be the late one," said Desteny looking at her watch again. It told her that is was only 2 minutes after she had last looked at it. She sighed in frustration.
Just then, Melody came walking up to the enterence. She spotted Desteny and walked over. "Hey Dest. Where are the guys?" she asked.
Desteny looked grumpily at the crowd. "They're not here yet. They better get here soon or else I'm going in with out them," she threatened.
"Is that a threat I hear?" asked a deep voice behind them.
Melody and Desteny turned around to see the guys, with shades and hats, standing behind them, smiling.
Desteny crossed her arms. "It's about time. I've been waiting here forever," she said, smiling.
"In other words," said Melody. "She's been waiting for 10 minutes."
"Sorry, we had to get about 15 people's permission to come here and our bodyguards had to come," said Howie, pointing to 5 very big and tall guys trying to not stand out in the crowd. They were not succeding.
"Come on, let's get in already," said Desteny, getting impationent.
"Someone is impationent," commented Howie.
"Damn straight," laughed Desteny. She grabbed Melody's hand and pulled her inside of the park, waiting for the guys to follow them.
Everyone had a great time at the water park. They all got soaked of course and went on the highest rides. Melody and Brian really hit it off well and Nick hung out with Desteny a lot. A.J. was right, Desteny was a sweetheart. But the more Nick and Desteny got close, the more the jealous feeling in A.J. got. At the end of the day, he realized, he had it bad for Desteny.
Since the guys concert wasn't for another few days, almost everyday in the week, Desteny, Melody and the guys got together. They went to parks, movies, picnic and other fun stuff. The guys were really enjoying their time off and of course, spending it with two beautiful girls wasn't so bad either. Melody and Brian were getting really close. It was really obvious that they both liked each other but wasn't sure what to do about. Nick liked Desteny more each day he spent with her but started to realized that A.J. liked to spend time with her too, but he didn't even consider that he could like her.
