"I don't believe Nick," mumbled A.J. as he ran to Nick's dressing room. He really like Desteny and now he had found out that Nick had taken the girl of his dreams into his dressing room.
When he reached it, he threw open the door and cried "What do you think you two are doing?"
Nick and Desteny, who had been sitting on the couch, talking and drinking their drinks, were startled, almost having heart attacks. Desteny screamed in suprise.
"A.J? What was that for?" cried Nick, jumping up.
"What was that for? What do you think? I really like Desteny and I find out that you've taken her back to your dressing room. How could you?," yelled A.J.
"What?" asked Nick, surpried.
"You heard me. I like Desteny and I'm not going to let you take my chances with her away," yelled A.J.
"Ah...hello. I'm still in the room ya know," said Desteny, waving her fingers cautiously.
A.J. turned bright red. "Desteny. ......I didn't see you there. Um, well, I just made fool of myself. Sorry to bother you." A.J. turned and shut the door with a slam.
Desteny and Nick looked at each other with wide eyes. Then Nick burst out laughing. He was laughing so hard, he had to kneeling on the ground, clutching his sides, gasping for air.
"And what exactly do you find so funny about that," smiled Desteny. "Poor A.J. must feel so embarrised you're laughing you're fool head off?"
Nick gasped for breath. "I've never seem A.J. go nuts over a girl like that before. He must really have it bad for you." Nick laughed even harder, if that was possible.
"Is that all I am. Just a girl?" Desteny asked with mock anger.
Nick stopped laughing. "Let me put it this way," said Nick slyly. Nick put his hand on the side of Desteny's face and pulled her in for a deep kiss.
Meanwhile, Brian and Melody were all alone. Howie, Kevin, Tanya and Sarah had gone out to get some coffee. Brian and Melody had decided to wait for Nick and Desteny. They had heard the whole thing between Nick and A.J. and had managed to hold their laughter till after the heard A.J. go into his dressing room. Now they were tossing jokes back and forth.
"Poor A.J.," said Melody, getting control over her laughter.
"What do you mean 'poor A,J.'?" asked Brian, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes.
"Well, he just completely embarissed himself in front of Desteny and Nick. He must feel awful," explained Melody.
"That was I like so much about you. You can read people," Brian said softly.
Melody blushed. "I don't know about that..." said Melody, looking at his blue eyes.
"Yes you do. I can't read others, but I can read myself," said Brian, playing with a piece of Melody's hair.
Melody smiled. "And what are you thinking?" she asked him.
"I think I'm falling for you," Brian said as he brushed his fingers through her hair.
"I think I am too," Melody replied, smiling gentaly.
Brian looked into her eyes and they pulled close as their lips brushed together.
"I can't believe I said that in front of her," cried A.J. He punched the wall. "Desteny will probaly never want to talk to me again." A.J. sighed. He flopped down on the couch in his dressing room. He was SO embarissed, he could barley thin about facing her again. "Wait," he said, sitting up. "No girl had been able to resist the romantic A.J." A.J. smiled. "I won't give up. I'll make Desteny all mine."
Nick and Desteny decided to go back to see what Brian adn Melody were doing (they had a pretty good idea). They brought their un-finished Cokes and grabbed two more Cokes for Melody and Brian (they figured they would be thirsy, an't I bad?). When they got to the room, Brian and Melody were involved in some major lip action with the others gone.
"A-hum." NIck cleared his throat, trying not to laugh.
Melody and Brian pulled apart and jumped about a foot off the couch. Melody turned bright red and gave Desteny and Nick a nasty look.
Nick turned to Desteny. "I guess we were right. They didn't notice how long were gone." Nick and Desteny laughed. Brian and Melody tried not to laugh but they couldn't help it. They all started laughing. Gasping for air. After they regained control, Nick made a suggestion. "I'm staving. Let's go to McDonald's."
"Yum, sounds like a plan to me." Desteny patted her stomach.
"We better invite A.J. to come along too," said Brian. Nick shifted his weight uncomfortably. Brian noticed this. "Look, I'll go ask him," said Brian.
"Thanks man," Nick said, relieved.
Brian walked to A.J.'s dressing room. He knocked on the door.
"Hey A.J., we're going to Micky D's. Want to go with us," yelled Brian through the door.
"No thanks," A.J. mumbled through the door. 'I don't want to be anywhere near Nick right now,' thought A.J.
Brian walked back to the others, disapointly. "He doesn't want to come. He sounds really depressed," Brian said.
Desteny looked at Nick. "Maybe I should go talk to him about what happened," Desteny suggested.
"Do you want me to come with you," asked Nick.
"No, I think it might be better if I talk to him alone. I'm the reason he's embarissed," said Desteny. Nick nodded and gave her a quick peck on the lips.
She left the others and walked to A.J.'s room. She knocked on the door. "A.J.? It's me, Desteny. Can we talk?" There was a pause.
"Sure, I guess so," mumbled A.J.
Desteny opened the door and saw A.J. on the couch, playing video games.
"Came I sit down," asked Desteny, shyly.
A.J. looked up at her and smiled. Inside of his head, he was screaming yes, yes, yes! He remind himself to act cool. He managed to keep it to a simple "Sure."
Desteny sat down. "Um, I'm sorry if you were embaressed today. I had no idea that you liked me... in that way I mean." Desteny blushed.
"Well," A.J. turned to her. "I've never felt this way about someone before. I didn't know how to react. I mean, it's easy for guys to fall for someone so beautiful as you."
Desteny blushed again and smiled at him. A.J. saw his charms were winning her over.
"I think now I will join you for McDonald's now," A.J. smiled. Desteny smiled back at him, relived. A.J. took her hand and they walked out to the others. A.J. held her hand tightly. A.J. saw Nick notice the two of them holding hands and Nick frowned.
When Nick looked at him, he smiled smugly. A.J. thought 'Am I really going to break my friendship with Nick for Desteny?' Desteny broke away from A.J. and went over to Nick. He put his hands around her waist and whispered something in her ear that made her laugh. Nick laughed too. 'Yes,' thought A.J., frowning. 'I am'
