"This has been a great day," said Jewel, sitting beside Summer on a hill. The guys were below them on the grass, playing with the football Dave had won at a game. They were practicly killing each other, and the girls were watching and laughing at them.
"So are we going to stay for the fireworks?" asked Summer, holding a big stuffed animal in front of her.
"If we can last that long. And where did you get that stuffed dog?" asked Jewel, noticing the dog for the first time.
Summer blushed and looked down at the grass. "Scott won it for me," she said softly.
Jewel looked at her friend slyly. "You two are really hitting it off aren't you?" she asked, smiling.
Summer blushed deeper. "I don't know. I guess," she said, playing witht the grass."
Jewel laughed.
"Hey! Scott, get off me!" yelled Dave. The girls looked down at the guys and saw that Scott had tackled Dave and stolen the football from him.
"Time to go call half-time," said Jewel, smiling.
Summer grinned eveily. "Let's go."
Jewel and Summer got up and walked down the hill. The guys didn't even notice the girls.
Dave had stolen the ball and was running away. As he was passing Jewel she tackled him. He fell on the grass, surprised. Jewel smiled at him and took the football from him. "Sorry Dallas Cowboys, half-time," she said, smiling.
Dave laughed and Jewel helped him up.
"What did you interupt our game for?" asked Clint, brushing grass off him and smiling.
"Long enought break. Let's go on more rides," smiled Summer, brushing grass off Scott's arm.
"Let's go then," said Bob.
They all went on tonns of rides and had a blast but they didn't notice that Veronica was keeping an eye on them. Scott noticed it, but he didn't saying anything. But the looks that she was giving Summer and Jewel were giving him shivers down his back. If looks could kill, Summer and Jewel would be buried in the ground by then.
"Scott, what are you looking at?" asked Summer, noticing that Scott's attention was somewhere else.
Scott pointed to Veronica. She keeps staring at you guys, giving you murderous looks," said Scott.
They all turned and saw Veronicae standing about 50 feet away from them with a tall, muscular guys standing next to her. Veronica was staring at them with her face blank.
