After years of searching, I was fortunate to find this wonderful issue of
Life Magazine with a section dedicated to Bangaway. The issue is February 27, 1956.

BANGAWAY HAS ANOTHER DAY
"Twenty-four of the entries at Westminster were sons and daughters of famous Ch Bang Away of Sirrah Crest, the who won 121 best-in-show awards. Bang Away is no 7 and retired from show business but he leads a busy life. On the eve of the Westminster show he was flown from California to attend a testimonial banquet in his honor. He sat patiently at the head table, ignoring the speeches and quietly ate rare steak. He did not stay in town to watch his 2-1/2-year-old daughter, Baroque of Quality Hill, win best in group."
