Look at my baby
Once delicate and dependant
Easy to have and to hold.
Now she scrambles away
From every diaper
And she gives hugs, and she gives kisses,
But on her terms-not yours.
She's growing sturdy and strong
And independant.

Sam, you are catching up.
You'll stand for ever so long
I've even caught you taking a step
Sometimes you'll turn loose
As you cruise around the couch
You pull yourself up
When you get to my feet
And try to climb into my arms.
