Chapter 11 - Plans

The next morning I woke up in Brian's arms. I lifted my head from his chest and looked around the room. I glanced around the room, and my eyes rested on the clock. It read 5:00 AM. What the hell was I doing awake that early? I laid back down and snuggled up to a still-sleeping Brian. In doing this, I woke him up.

"Morning baby," he said softly.

"Morning," I replied with a smile.

"I love waking up to your face," he said.

"And I love waking up to yours," I replied.

The moment was ruined by the ringing of the phone. At first we tried to ignore it, but it was extremely persistant.

"You get it, you're closest," Brian muttered.

"Um, Bri? It's your room. And do you really want to explain to Donna why I'm in your room at this time of morning?" I said.

"But we didn't do anything!"

"Yeah, but do you really think she'd believe that?"

He just sighed and picked up the phone.

"Hello? Yeah, I know, I was doing a little thing called sleeping. Alright, alright, fine. 30 minutes. Bye."

He put the phone back on the reciever and turned to me.

"We have 30 minutes to get ready," he said.

I nodded and got back out of bed.

"See ya then," I said as I walked into my room.

Thankfully, everyone had already left my room. My phone was ringing as I walked in. I picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Wake up. We're meeting in the lobby in 30 minutes."

"Aight, fine. Bye,"

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and started getting dressed. After pulling on flare jeans, a dark blue cami, and my Old Navy black pullover jacket, I did my hair and put on a little bit of makeup. Then I put a few things into my small suitcase (I had a couple larger ones on the bus), I walked out of my room and into the hallway. Korin was standing there.

"Hey! Where's everyone?" I asked her.

"Well, Elissa, Brian, Howie, and Karen are still getting ready. The rest of them are downstairs. I need to talk to you sometime today, ok?" Kori answered.

"Ok, sure."

Just then, Brian stepped out of his room with a small suitcase. He grinned when he saw me.

"Hey baby," he said as we embraced.

"Hey yourself," I replied.

We started kissing as Korin protested.

"Hello? I'M STANDING HERE! And you're in public! Wouldn't it be wonderful if a fan walked by?" she said.

The last part was enough to make us pull apart. Korin smiled in satisfaction. Then she looked at her watch.

"Hey guys, we better go down now if we wanna get there in time," she said.

"And I suppose you could tell me exactly how much time we have in seconds?" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Yep, 313."

"Obsessive freak," I muttered.

"Like you aren't one yourself," she shot back.

I was about to open my mouth with a reply when Bri cut in.

"Ok girls, enough. In the three and a half weeks I've known you guys, I've realized how bad it can get," he said.

"Alright, fine," I said.

"How come you listen to him and not me?" Korin asked.

"Think, Korin. It's not that hard, even for you," I replied smugly.

"Hey!" she protested.

"OK! Let's go!" Brian said as he practically pushed us into the waiting elevator.

Korin and I leaned against the elevator walls and pouted as Brian pressed the button for the lobby floor. The elevator was in between floors 2 and 3 when there was a sudden jolt. The elevator stopped and the lights went out.

"SHIT!" the 3 of us yelled at the same time.

"Is there an emergency phone?" I asked Brian, since he was closest to it.

"Um no, there isn't," he answered quietly.

"You sure?" Korin said worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm sure," he replied.

I sighed and sat down on the floor.

"Damnit. I've heard too many elevator stories," I said.

"Yeah, not to mention the fact that we have a show in Minneapolis tonight that we're gonna miss if we don't leave really, really soon!" Brian said.

"FUCK!" Korin screamed.

Then the lights went back on and the elevator started moving again. We all started cheering.

"What was that?" I asked.

"Probably a power problem or something. But it doesn't matter, cause we're moving," Brian replied.

The elevator opened, so we grabbed our stuff and quickly ran over to the group of people standing in the lobby.

"Where were you guys?" Donna demanded.

"The elevator got stuck...we were afraid we were going to be in there for a LONG time," Brian answered.

She didn't look like she believed him, but she shrugged it off.

"Fine. Let's get going," Donna said.

We all nodded and headed out to the buses. We said goodbye to our guys (except Korin and AJ...they currently weren't speaking to each other...are you surprised?) and loaded our separate tour buses. Once we were on our bus, I sat down with Korin.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked.

"Well, I'm gonna get revenge on AJ, and I need your help," she sad.

"Why the hell do you need MY help?"

"Because I can't do it by myself. It would be WAY too obvious."

"Ok, let me rephrase that. Why the hell SHOULD I help you?"

"Because you're my bestest, bestest friend...PLEASE Kristy!"

I sighed.

"Fine...but why do I get the feeling I'm gonna regret this?"

"You won't. I swear!"

"You always say that."

"Well, this time I mean it!"

"Whatever. Just tell me the plan before I back out."

So Korin filled me in on her little revenge plan. When she was done, I could barely contain my laughter.

"Man, girl, you are NEVER gonna get away with this!" I said.

"Probably not...but you gotta admit, it's gonna be HELLA funny!" she replied.

I started laughing.

"Yes, it will be!" I said through laughter.

"What will be what?" Elissa asked.

Korin and I looked up to see her, Karen, and Alta standing there. So we filled them in. By the time we were done, they were also cracking up. This was going be good. In more ways than one.
