"Come on bitch. Cooperate or you die," spoke the man.
I nodded as I walked out of the store and followed him and the other man, who had Korin, to their car. We drove away and arrived at an abandoned warehouse. The guys threw us into a room and held guns to us.
"Let us go!" I screamed.
"No!" Joe yelled, pointing his gun directly at my head.
"Please!" Korin screamed.
Joe turned and pointed his gun at her head.
"You girls need to learn to keep your mouths shut," he said.
With that, he pulled the trigger. Korin fell to the floor, turning completely limp. I watched in horror as a puddle of her blood grew bigger and bigger.
Joe turned to me.
"Now it's your turn," he said, grinning evilly.
I started praying, but my prayers did no good. He pulled the trigger and everything went black, with Joe's laughing echoing in my head...
"NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed, sitting up in bed quickly.
My body was completely drenched in sweat, I was shaking, and I could barely breathe. I started hyperventilating, the dream replaying my mind.
"GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed again.
I must have sounded like I had a mental illness, but it didn't matter. At that point I had lost control. My screaming woke Brian up, and he immediately rushed to my side.
"Shhh, baby, calm down," he said, his words soothing, as he rubbed my back.
I continued to gasp for air and Brian rocked me back and forth, trying to calm me down. After a few minutes, my breathing returned to normal, and I regained my control. Brian just continued to hold me in his arms.
"Kristy, what happened?" he asked.
I looked at his face and saw nothing but pure concern.
"I-I h-had a d-dream," I stammered.
Brian nodded, holding me a little tighter. "Do you wanna talk about it?" he asked carefully.
I nodded. After a few minutes, when I felt like I could speak again, I explained the dream to him. "Well, it was about the kidnapping. It started out the same. We got guns pressed to us, and we were forced to go to the warehouse, and they threw us into this one room. But here's where it changed. I begged Joe to let us go, and he pointed the gun at me. Then Korin begged also, and he shot her. Then he shot me and I woke up," I said, shaking.
Brian's mouth dropped open. "Wow. God Kris, I'm so sorry you have to go through this."
"Yeah, I am too," I said, forcing a little smile.
"Well, we probably should get some sleep," Brian said, starting to get off the bed.
"Yeah, but stay in the bed with me. Please," I asked, a pleading look in my eyes.
"Sure," he replied, getting under the covers.
I closed my eyes, praying for morning to come.

Korin opened her eyes to see AJ and Peggy looking at her.
"Uh, hi," she said, looking back at them.
"Morning, baby," AJ said as he leaned down to kiss her.
"Um, excuse me," Peggy said briskly.
Kori and AJ pulled apart, rolling their eyes.
"Miss Mumford needs to eat her breakfast now," Peggy continued, glaring at the couple.
"You mean I actually have to eat that shit?" Korin asked.
"It's not...it's not...umm..." Peggy stammered, not being able to say the word 'shit', "I mean, it's not bad," she finished.
Korin and AJ simultaneously started cracking up at how the nurse couldn't cuss at all.
Peggy ignored them and went on. "It's nutrious and balanced, and I bet it's a lot healthier than what you usually eat."
"Yeah, but it's also a hell of a lot nastier," Kori replied.
"Well, it doesn't matter, you have to eat it."
"Says who?"
"The doctor."
"Hell no! You can't force me to do anything!"
AJ chose this time to cut in. "Kori, I understand where you're comin from, but you've suffered from some malnutrition, so just eat."
Korin pouted, but she gave in.
"You know, between you and your friend..." Peggy trailed off.
"Kristy?" Korin asked, looking up.
"Yes, Kristen."
"What did she do?"
"I'm not going into it. She just made putting the I.V. in difficult."
Kori and AJ exchanged looks, trying their hardest not to laugh.
"But she gave in," Peggy quickly said.
She walked out of the room, a little sarcastic smile playing on her lips.
As soon as the nurse was gone, Kori and AJ started cracking up.
"Remind me to high-five Kris when I get outta here," Korin said.
"Oh, I will," AJ said through laughter.
When she left, Korin ate the food, drinking water after each bite to wash down the taste. AJ just watched, trying not to laugh. When she finished the meal, she drank the rest of the water, practically gulping it down. AJ and her talked for awhile, until a different nurse poked her head into the room.
"You may get dressed. You're being released."
