"What are you doing here?" they both asked at the same time.
After glaring at each other for a few minutes, AJ looked at Korin and said "Well, I was here first so you leave."
"Ex-CUSE me? Uh uh. I don't THINK so. You were not here first, so why should I have to leave?" Korin snapped back.
"Um, yeah actually I WAS here first. So take your stuff and leave." he replied.
"No way! I am not leaving, especially because YOU said so!" she said.
The arguing went on for about 15 minutes when someone from the hotel came in and told them that they either shut up or take it outside cause they were disturbing the guests. After glaring again for a few minutes, Korin broke the silence.
"Ok, we're both 21, right?" she started, "so we can act like mature (*AN: well, I wouldn't exactly use the word 'mature' to describe Korin, but oh well.....hehe Korin I know you're reading this so go ahead, shoot me (right, uh huh) ---Kristy:)*) adults and swim without fighting, right?"
"Yeah, sure, whatever." AJ cannonballed into the pool and got Korin (and all her stuff) soaking wet.
"Oh thanks AJ!" she yelled, "Now my towel is soaked!"
"Oh well," he replied with a smug look.
"You are SO gonna pay!" she exclaimed. Then she went over to where his towel was sitting and held it above the water.
"You wouldn't!" he yelled.
"Watch me."
She dropped the towel and it fell into the water. AJ had this look of shock on his face, like he didn't know whether to yell at her or laugh. He went with yelling at her.
"KORIN! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!" he yelled.
Then he got out of the pool and starting going towards her. She saw him and started running but he caught up to her. He grabbed her by the waist and threw her into the pool. Then he jumped in after her. Korin tried to be mad at him. But simultaneously they both burst out laughing.
"So much for being mature!" Korin said smiling.
"Yeah, I know!" AJ said.
Then they both stopped laughing. They just though to themselves for a few minutes.
"Korin-" AJ started.
"AJ-" Korin said at the same time. They laughed again.
"You go first." Korin said.
"Ok. Look, I don't know about you, but I don't even remember why we broke up in the first place," he said.
Korin nodded, her heart pounding.
"So I don't see any reason why we can't be friends," he finished.
"Yeah, I totally agree. It's totally useless for us to be fighting," she replied with a smile. "And I thought wanted us to get back together...." she thought to herself "Oh well. I can't believe I thought that anyway. We broke up. It's over. At least I can get a friend out of this. Then why am I so disappointed?" She sighed.
"What?" AJ asked.
"Huh?" Korin came back to earth.
"You sighed like something was wrong."
"Oh, no. Nothing's wrong."
"Ok, forget it then." They went back to swimming and talking, but Korin couldn't help feeling a little disappointed......
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ok, so while Korin and AJ were in the pool, the rest of us were finishing up dinner. Dinner was nice, and afterwards the couples went off in different directions. Howie and Karen decided to sit in the lobby and get to know each other better.
"So did you grow up in Orlando?" Howie asked her.
"Nope. I actually grew up in Saudi Arabia, and then I moved out to Fairfield, CA in the middle of eighth grade. That's how I met the other girls." Karen answered.
"Oh, so you guys have known each other since junior high?"
"Yep. Well, some of the others have known each other since before then, but I first became friends with them in eighth grade."
"That's cool. I've known the guys for more than 5 years now. Well, actually, I've known AJ and Nick for longer than that, since we were running into each other at auditions and stuff before we actually became a group. Do you know the story of how we got together?"
"Yeah, but tell me anyway. I want to hear it directly from you."
So her told her, and they continued their little conversation.
Kevin and Alta had gone up to his room to talk.*AN: JUST talking. No more. Ok peeps, got it? Good. ---Kristy:)*
"So, tell me about yourself." Kevin said.
"What do you wanna know?" Alta replied.
"Full name, age, birthday, where you're from, etc."
"Ok, my full name is Alta Faye Miles, I'm 22, and my birthday is February 8th, 1976. I was born in Saudi Arabia, like Karen, then I moved to the States when I was 4. I lived in Sacramento for awhile, and then I moved to Fairfield, which is in the North Bay, in the middle of 7th grade. I became friends with Kristy and Korin then, and I met Karen and Elissa through them."
Meanwhile, me and Brian went for a little walk around the hotel grounds.
"Well, basically all I know about you is your first name. So tell me more," Brian said.
"Well, umm, what do you wanna know?"*AN: I know that's real creative but what else was I supposed to say? ---Kristy:)*
"Details. Your life story would be nice."
I laughed.
"Ok, umm, I'll start with my name. My full name is Kristen Lee B, Lee is spelled the boring way, you know, L-E-E, I hate my middle name but thanks to my parents I'm stuck with it. But everyone calls me Kristy or Kris, take your pick or call me both. I was born on March 3, 1976, which makes me 22 and the middle one of the group. I enjoy being the middle one, Korin hates me for it cause she's the youngest and she hates the "baby of the group" image, and Elissa hates me for it cause she's the oldest and she hates the "mature, responsible" image, even though she wouldn't be considered that by anyone who even remotely knows her. Karen's second youngest and Alta's second oldest and they don't really care. I was born at 2:28 AM in Concord, CA. I lived in Fairfield my whole life. I've known Elissa since I was 5, we met through soccer, and we became best friends. I met Korin at the beginning of 7th grade, and we immediately clicked and got along great right away. Korin and I met Alta in the middle of 7th grade, the three of us became good friends, and we introduced her to Elissa, and eventually Karen. I met Karen when she moved there in the middle of 8th grade, Korin and me had a bunch of classes with her, and we became friends. I've always loved singing, I grew up singing in church and with my mom. In 8th grade the 5 of us decided to form a girl group, and here we are. I tend to go on and on when I talk, as I'm sure you just figured out, so I'm sorry. Anything else?"
"Whoa! You did give me your life story! I don't mind the blabbing, though."
He smiled, and I smiled back. We continued to talk.
Elissa and Nick were out by the beach.
"So, can I call you Lissa?" Nick asked her.
"Of course! That's what my friends call me. Actually, you can call me anything you want," Lissa replied, acting like her usual flirtatious self.
She flirted with him for awhile, and he began to flirt back.
We all met back in the lobby later that night. Our managers yelled at us to go to bed 'because we had a show the next night'. So we all reluctantly headed for the elevators. When we reached our floor, I hugged Brian goodnight and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Lissa, Alta, and Karen did the same to their guys. We said goodnight and went to our rooms. But I didn't go to bed. I changed into my favorite cargo pants and a camisole and headed over to Korin's room to talk to her. I opened the connecting door between our rooms and my mouth dropped open. Korin was lying on her bed, watching TV. I was expecting that. However, what I wasn't expecting to see was AJ lying next to her, watching TV with her.
