"Excuse me," A teenage girl tapped on his shoulder. He didn't even bother to turn around. "Can I have your autograph?" She held out her Backstreet Book, that she had been waiting forever to get signed. Brian had enough of this, he couldn't take it anymore. After all it was because of girls like her, that he lost his girlfriend.
"GO AWAY!" Brian turned around and screamed in the girls face, that started to cry. "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE, WOULD YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?! CAN'T YOU SEE HOW YOUR AFFECTING MY REALITY? (boy, didn't that phrase sound all too familiar?)" Brian ran off down the side walk, leaving the teenage girl in tears on the steps. She sat down in the same postion Brian had been in, only a few minutes earlier.
"WHY? HOW? WHO IS THAT JERK?" She had no idea of who just yelled at her. It couldn't be the loving, kind, gentle Brian that she had always fanatsized about, or was it? Was he always like this? Was all that crap about "loving the fans" made up, for a cover up? "Why is being so mean? He's not the person I dreamed of. I never wanna listen to their music again. I hate the Backstreet Boys!" The girl was crushed. She had to admit she was a die hard fan since they first came out, but now, now,- god, how could she ever listen to another line in a song that he sang, knowing it was lies?
****meanwhile****
Brian? Why did you do that? All she wanted was an autograph? BRIAN! THIS ISNT YOU! Your fans are all you've got right now, don't treat them like this! Brian couldn't get the thought of what he did, off his mind. He knew deep down, it was wrong. Who was that, that flipped out at the girl? It was Brian. He was sweet, kind, romantic, the perfect guy. He knew what he had to do.
"Excuse me?" Brian re-approached the girl, crying on the steps. He hoped more than anything, he would still talk to her. He felt so guilty for what he did, just becuz his girlfriend dumped him, doesn't mean he was right. He had to learn to move on.
When the girl didn't answer, he sat down next to her, ready to explain himself.
"Listen, I am so sorry. My girlfriend, for 7 years, just dumped me. It was my fault though, I never really treated her right. I mean, yeah, i was the perfect boyfriend, but I never considered her feelings, just like i didn't consider yours." By this time, the girl had perked her tear stained face up, to look at him. "I mean, your my fan. A FAN. You are what makes me who I am, not some girlfriend. You mean so much to me, and the rest of the group. Iam so sorry for what I did, can you forgive me?" Brian pleaded, looking into her eyes. This was the first time he had gotten a good glance at her. She was gorgeous, that long curly hair. Those brown eyes that sparkled in the sun. He skin the perfect tone. How could he have?
"Yeah, I forgive you. After all, you are a Backstreet Boy. I have no idea what you go through everyday. It must be hard, I am sorry for bugging you, Bye." The girl quickly stood up, whipped her face off, and turned to leave.
"WAIT!" Brian called. She turned around, face to face with him. "Do you still want that autograph?" He smiled. That second, she melted. That smile, the smile she fell in love with. That was the Brian she knew.
"Well yea, here ya go." She handed him the book to sign.
"I forgot to ask ya' whats your name?" He asked, glancing into her beautiful eyes. He quickly forgot about the girl he loved, that just broke his heart.
"It's Sheilagh, S-H-E-I-L-A-G-H." She said, spelling it out so he could write it.
"That's really pretty-" He signed his name and handed her the book.
"Thank you soo much, I really mean that, I am sorry for bugging you." She was about to leave, when he grabbed her arm. She turned around to come face to face, with his beautiful baby blues and the smile that made her heart melt.
"Do you wanna go out to lunch? I mean, I have some free time, the guys are back at the hotel, and well, I was just wonderin-" Brian asked.
"YES! YES!" She screamed, you sure didn't have to ask her twice.
