"Kevin, these roses are beautiful" Shelly said, looking at the bouquet on the table, Kevin had reserved.
"Well i hoped you liked them, they're yours." He smiled.
"Wow, thanx!" Shelly smiled back, smelling the roses one last time. They both ordered their meals, and after they were finished paid the check. Kevin suggested they go to a club near by called the Pheonix. They both got up and headed out the door and walked into the cold midnight air.
"Are you cold?" Kevin asked, noticing she was rubbing her arms.
"Actually, yeah I am." She looked up at him. He placed his jacket around her. "Thanks." She smiled.
At the club
"Um.......Kevin?" Shelly smiled up at him, as they were dancing.
"Yeah, what is it baby?" He looked down.
"Um......there's this girl over there that keeps staring at you, like she knows you or something." Shelly said, glancing at the girl.
"Don't worry, I only have eyes for you tonight" He pulled her closer, and wrapped his arms aroudn her as the beat from the music continued.
"Kevin, thats sweet but she's really starting to bug me." Shelly said, in an annoyed tone.
"Where is she?" Kevin asked, thinking he would just look once to see who it was. "Oh, over ther-" He stopped, mid-sentence. He knew who it was. He didn't want to stay any longer. "Come on, lets go." Kevin said, taking Shelly by the hand. She had no clue what was going on.
"Wait---Kevin-----where" She tried getting the words out as Kevin drug her along. She found herself almost running out of the club right into the car.
"Kevin, whats wrong? Why did we have to leave?" Shelly managed to get out, between breaths.
"I am sorry, I had to do that. But do you know WHO that was?!" Kevin looked at her with stern eyes.
"No, I mean she looked farmiliar, but i couldnt put i face on it. She just kept staring at you, i figured maybe an old girlfriend?" Shelly asked.
"No, it was an old girlfriend, but not one of mine." Kevin laughed.
"Oh, who's? Nick's?" Shelly chuckled.
"No, Brian's. Actually, Brian's ex. They broke up today." Kevin continued saying, "That was Leighanne, Shelly."
