Prologue

Jesykah Murphy stepped into her parents old camp house. She just loved the smell of that place. She remembered all the times she had spent there with her best friend Alex. She hadn’t been to the campground since she was just a mere 9 years old. She was now 20. She walked into the room that had been designated hers a while back. The old, yet sturdy, bunk beds still stood in the room. She dropped her bags on a nearby chair and fell on her bed. She rolled over and looked at the night stand next to the bed. There, still, was the picture of her and Alex when they were just 6 years old. He had his lips planted on her cheek. She remembered the day her mother had taken the picture and replied, "Awww! You two kids are too cute together." Jesykah longed to see Alex again. The reason she had stopped coming up to the camp was because her parents were killed by a drunk driver one night. She was taken into custody of her grandmother who passed when she was 18. She was now able to be on her own. Jesykah came back to reality. Her friends Rebekah and Juliana were coming to stay with her, so she wouldn’t be by herself. They were coming in less then 30 minutes. She needed to do some unpacking before they arrived. As she was doing so her thoughts drifted back to Alex. She knew her friendship with him was diminished when she stopped coming to camp 11 years ago. She also knew there was no way to get in touch with him again now that he was a famous Backstreet Boy.
