It was the last night of the tour and it was time for them to go back to Orlando.
"I’m sure my mom is going to love seeing you again."
"I hope so. She was always like a second mother to me. But now...I don’t have a mother."
"Awww hun, I know I’ll never take the place of your family but know I will always be here for you."
"I know AJ! I love you so much."
"I love you too. Come on let’s get the rest of your luggage in the van."
Jesykah walked over and picked up her two suitcases and AJ got her carry-on.
"Thanks," she said, as she headed out of the hotel room.
After everything was loaded they were off to the airport.
"Gosh, I really hate flying." Jesykah said, when their flight was announced.
"Oh, come on it’s only for a little while, and this time you’ll be with moi!"
"Yeah, I know sweetie. I’m gonna try to sleep a little bit so that I’m not up much of the ride! I think it will be better for me."
"Yeah it will. Sleep tight." He said kissing her cheek and watching her for the first few seconds after she closed her eyes.
AJ shook Jesykah a little bit to have her buckle her seat belt. She opened her eyes and buckled.
"I feel refreshed," she replied after fully waking up.
"I bet. I can’t wait for you to see my mom again."
"I’m nervous, AJ."
"Why?"
"Because I am. I really don’t have a reason. I just am."
"Oh, well you shouldn’t be."
The plane landed smoothly and they grabbed their carry-ons and got off.
"There she is." He said pointing to his mother.
"AJ, honey, how was the tour?" she questioned him.
"Great, Mom. You remember Jesykah right?"
"Of course. Why Jesykah you’ve grown into a beautiful young woman."
"Thank you," she said, blushing a light shade of red.
"Come on let’s get you home. Where are the other boys?" Denise asked.
"They went to baggage, Mom."
"All right. Let’s go there and then we’re out of here." she said taking her son by the hand.
"There’s my other one," Jesykah said, pointing to a lavender suitcase.
They carried their bags to two vans waiting in the parking lot of the airport.
"AJ, Jesykah, and Nick, come in this van with Lonnie, and Kevin, Howie, and Brian you go in that van with Jeff."
They all nodded and did as they were instructed to. Lonnie dropped of Nick, and then headed for AJ’s.
"Jesykah, I assume your staying at AJ’s house and not a hotel, correct?"
"Yeah, I offered to stay in a hotel but AJ insisted I stay with him."
"I’m glad he did. I wouldn’t want you at a hotel all by yourself." Denise replied.
"I’m sure it will be much more fun staying at his house."
When Denise wasn’t looking AJ smirked and wiggled his eyebrows at Jesykah. She laughed lightly.
"Did I miss something?" Denise asked, turning back around from the front seat.
"No, I just remembered something funny Nick did the other day." Jesykah said.
"Oh all right."
Lonnie dropped AJ and Jesykah off at his house.
"AJ, get unpacked and everything and then give me a call. I would like to come visit you two later. Okay?"
"Well how about you just come over around 8. We should be unpacked and have gotten dinner by then, don’t you think Jes?"
"Yeah, that sounds good."
"Goodbye, you two." Denise said.
"Bye," AJ and Jesykah chimed together before Denise shut the door.
"You don’t really want to unpack do you?" AJ asked.
"No not really. I’m too tired." She replied.
"Okay." AJ said opening the front door. He placed all of their bags upstairs in his bedroom.
He came downstairs and wrapped his arms around Jesykah locking her in a passionate kiss. "Do you know how many times I wanted to do that on the ride here?"
"Umm, no but I can imagine," she said, going over and sitting on the couch.
AJ went over and sat next to her. He started to kiss her neck.
"AJ...we got to get something for dinner." She replied.
"Okay. But will you give me desert later?"
"I’ll think about it." She joked.
He gave her the puppy dog face but she ignored it.
"I can’t believe two days until Christmas." AJ said, squeezing her tightly.
"Yeah, I know. My first Christmas in 3 years with someone I love." She said standing up and walking into the kitchen.
AJ felt bad bringing up Christmas but he knew she had to face up to it sometime, it was only 2 days away.
AJ went in the kitchen with her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. "What are we gonna have?"
"I dunno sweetie. There’s nothing here since you were on tour. There is some pancake mix," she said pointing to the top of the cabinet.
"Well, we might as well have that. We can go shopping tomorrow. But first come here." AJ said taking her by the wrist and dragging her underneath the door frame.
"Why are we standing here?"
AJ leaned in to kiss her and then pointed up. She smiled when she saw the mistletoe. She then noticed she was now standing there by herself and joined AJ by the stove. He pulled out a pan and made some pancake batter. Jesykah poured it in and made different shapes.
"Very artistic."
"Isn’t it though?" she laughed.
They ate their dinner in silence, but not because they were mad, but because they were too busy staring into each other’s eyes. AJ decided to call his mother and tell her they would stop by tomorrow. They were both too tired to have company. She agreed and hung up.
They cleaned up and AJ replied, "Come on let’s go to bed."
