"Yes, baby, your Momma is up there."
"Did Momma love me Dadda?"
"Yes, honey your Momma loved you very much and she still does. And we love her very much don’t we?"
"Yes, I love Momma. Dadda am I pwetty like Momma was?"
"Absolutely. You are both so beautiful. Do you want to go see her?"
"How will we get der Dadda? We take a plane to see her?"
"No, honey. You can’t take a plane. We can go visit her. Come on, I’ll show you." he said picking up his daughter and walking down the street.
"Dadda look it! All the leaves are gone off the trees."
"Yes, I see that. Fall was your Mommy’s favorite time of the year."
When they got to the cemetery AJ walked slowly down the road while approaching her grave.
"Dadda how come Momma doesn’t have a face?"
"She has a face sweetie. It’s just up above us."
"Dadda is Momma cold? Does she have her shoes on? Gramma told me if I don’t wear shoes I will be cold."
"No sweetheart. Momma doesn’t need shoes. God is keeping her warm until I get up there."
"Oh."
"Say I love you to Momma and then we have to go."
"I love you Momma." Then Jana walked over to the headstone and whispered. "Fall is my favowite season too."
In comes the winter breeze,
That chills the air and drifts the snow,
And I imagine kissing you under the mistletoe,
When springtime makes it way here,
Lilac blooms reminds me of the scent of your perfume,
When summer burns the heat ,
I always get the hots for you,
Go skinny dippin’ in the ocean where we used to do,
When Autumn sheds the leaves the trees are bare,
When you’re not here it doesn’t feel the same.
