Becca whispered in his ear, "I love you Kev".
"I love you too, baby. I missed you so much. It feels like heaven to be in your arms again."
She kissed him passionatley on the lips. She hugged his body closer to hers. Kevin took her head in his hands, and brought her eyes level with his.
"Rebecca, every night I think about you. You are the last thought I have when I fall asleep, and you are the first thing I think about when I wake up."
She looked deep in his eyes. She saw that he was telling her the absolute truth. How could she have ever doubted those eyes...doubted him? It was that moment when she knew that he was the only man for her.
***At the coffee shop***
"Well let's see. I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. My brother, Harold and I had a wonderful relationship with our parents. He's older, but we've always gotten along so well. As I'm sure you've read, when I was five years old, I underwent serious heart surgery. I almost didn't make it. But I was too strong for that, so here I am. I've always had faith in God, he's helped me in so many ways. I used to sing in church every Sunday. I grew up wanting to sing...to bring a smile to someone's face. Then one day in history class, I got the call from Kev....joined BSB...and now I find myself sipping hot chocolate with a lovely reporter lady."
"Thanks for that compliment Brian. You seem so down to earth, genuine and sweet, not super-ego man...like I had expected."
"So we both surprised each other Michelle. I never knew a reporter could be so much fun to be with. I always thought you would be forever concentrated on a story. But, tonight you showed me a new you. The fun you...not the reporter side. I must say...I like this you much better."
"So I surprised you then. Good. Always keep them guessing. Isn't that what they say?"
"That's right. Keep me guessing," he said with a soft chuckle.
"And I'm glad that you turned out to really be 'the Backstreet Boy next door' . You're too sweet to let fame get to you. I admire that."
Blushing, Brian said, "Thanks...so you really thought I would have a super ego? I thought I gave off better vibes than that in person."
"No...well...I didn't know what to expect honestly. Let's just say I like what I found." she responded with a grin.
"I'm glad, because I like what I found too."
"I know that you thought I was going to be an over-achiever reporter trying to get her story. But the truth is, I have to ask. You don't want to do the story, do you?"
He answered her simply, "No".
"Okay then. I won't do it."
"What...I don't understand. You're not gonna do it?" His southern blue eyes looked at her shocked. Saying he was confused was putting it mildly. He was in utter disbelief.
***In Brian and Nick's Apartment"
"Score...by Mr. Air Carter!!!! I believe that makes 3 to 2, Mel. I'm winning!" He shouted in his best game voice.
"Not for long, Carter! You just wait!" Mel teased back.
Nick had challenged Mel to a one on one indoor basketball game. Nick had a hoop hung on the front of his door, for when he and Brian wanted to play, but couldn't make their way to the court. It was a nerf b-ball set up, so it was perfect for him and Mel to play now that they were alone in the apartment. Nick had always thought of B-ball as a release. But now, playing with Mel...he was having fun. He forgot about what had been bugging him. She could distract him so easily. He was so mixed up inside, but one look at her made him see what he wanted so clearly. And what he wanted was running past him with the basketball in her hands. He moved in front of her to block her from making the shot that would tie the game. He jumped in front of her, and threw his long arms in the air. It was too late. Mel didn't see him coming. He collided with her. Laughing, they both tumbled down to the rug-covered floor. Nick had landed right on top of Melanie. He put his arms out on the rug for support, so he was now positioned above her stare. He looked deep into her eyes. He simply couldn't resist her. It happened so quickly. The basketball now rolled away from Mel's grip. Nick did what felt right in his heart. He knew what he wanted, and acted on impulse, on lust, for the second time that night.
He leaned in and kissed her sweet lips. It felt so right, her lips touched with hers. It was fate. He felt that in his heart. Fate had positioned her under him, to allow for their kiss.
Mel responded with great force. It was what she wanted, to feel his lips on hers once again. Inside, her body bursted with emotion. It felt so right. She never wanted it to end. Nick pulled his face away from hers, and looked at her deeply.
"So, we always end up like this don't we. Me kissing you, wanting you."
"Nick, I don't know what to say."
"So don't say anything. Just kiss me."
And she did. Just as they were on the floor. She kissed him, over and over. His lips meshed so well with his. He never wanted to let go. Her hair smelled so sweet, like vanilla mixed with strawberries. It drove him wild, as their lips continued to meet with force. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the doorknob turning. He saw the door opening, but he wasn't planning on pulling his mouth away from hers.
***Back at Rebecca's door step***
"Kevin, I want you to stay with me tonight. Come in, baby please."
He was softening, he couldn't tell her no. He would hold her in his arms through the night, that was all. He would control his hormones, it would be hard...but he would have to. She needed him to be with her. So he would stay. And that would have to be good enough. He silently cursed her for having to be so damn irresistible, so sexy, so desirable. In the back of his mind, he knew that holding her all night would be more than enough. For all he really wanted was for her to know how much he really cared. He loved her with his entire heart and soul. He had given his heart to her the moment she starred into his eyes. It was the moment he had fallen in love with her so long ago. He had given her his heart, now he longed to give her his body.
"Of course I'll stay sweetheart. I've missed you too much to let you go now."
With that, Becca closed the door to the apartment. She was ready to surrender herself to his love, to his charm...but most of all to his body. She wanted him to make love to her. Tonight would be their night. She would tell Kevin she was ready. She knew he was 'the one'. She led Kevin into her bedroom. She glanced at the look on his face, and she knew he felt pure desire for her.
She whispered in his ear,"Kevin, baby...I want to be with you tonight. Every night."
His expression was pure lust...pure joy...pure surprise, as his entire body felt weak with anticipation. "Only if she's sure, Kev. Make sure she's ready," he told himself over and over. Her small whispers had already excited his sexual mood. Now, he would be able to act on his fantasies. She gazed at him longingly. They had waited so long. It had to be perfect.
"Kev, wait right here." she said, as she patted the bed for him to sit down. He obeyed, and she ran off into the bathroom. "I'll be back in a sec sweetie!" she shouted as she shut the bathroom door.
"Like I'd go anywhere Bec! What are you doing in there anyway?" he questioned, concerned.
"It's a surprise...so you just prepare yourself, Kev."
"I've been prepared since the moment I knew that I loved you, Becca." he shouted from his seat on the bed.
