"Good morning," she said as she yawned and sat up.
"Good morning," he replied. "Ssshh I'm going to go scare your sister."
And he got out of bed and hid behind the door.
"Lisa are you here?" she heard her sister's boyfriend ask.
"Hey guys, I'm in my room."
So Howie and Sheri opened the door and started to walk it but a tall guy jumped out of the corner. All you could hear was Sheri screaming and everyone else's laughter.
"You jerk. You are going to give a person a heart attack or something," she said to Kevin with a shaky voice.
"You should of seen your face, Sher," Howie said laughing.
"Yeah it was priceless," Kevin added.
"Ok guys. Quit teasing her now," Lisa said as she tried not to laugh.
"Ah c'mon. Lemme have some fun," Kevin said as he jumped on the bed and started tickling her.
"Lisa I hate to point out the obvious but we are never going to make the flight if you don't get ready soon," Sheri said with hostilary in her voice.
"Okay, okay. I'll get ready if you do me a favor and go down to the living room and check my brief case and make sure all the songs and everything else we need is in it. I checked yesterday but I want someone else to check also."
She heard her sister grumble a little before she left the room with Howie following her. So once again Kevin and her were left alone.
"I'm sorry about last night. I'm sure you wanted to go home after having to put up with me and my blubbering," she said as she got up and went to find some clothes and a towel.
But before she made it to her closet, she felt Kevin pulling her back towards him. Soon she was wrapped in his muscular arms and he looked at her with those gorgous green eyes and said,"Lisa, darlin, I never 'put up' with you. I'm with you because that's how I want it to be. And that is how I'll always want it to be." \
They kissed passionately until she pulled away.
"What did I ever do to deserve you," she looked at him and said," I love you" then went to take her shower.
After she got out and got dressed she wentdownstairs. "Where did Sher and D go?"she asked.
"They left,"was all he said.
She looked at him with hurt in her eyes."Why is he mad at me?"she thought to yourself.
"Kev, what's wrong? Did you and Sheri get into it?"she asked.
"No. They just left saying they needed to get some more stuff ready."
She could tell just by his voice sounding upset that he was hiding something. So she went over to him and kissed his neck softly.
"C'mon, you can tell me anything. Now what's wrong?"
He looked up at her. "Lisa you really hurt me earlier pulling away like that. I know you are a busy woman but it still hurts."
"Oh Kev, I didn't mean to hurt you. I just want to pull away quickly so it won't hurt so bad when I leave. It hurts so bad not to have you with meeven if you just went home. It still hurts. I'm sorry Kevin. I'm so very sorry." And once again she broke down in tears again. Kevin pulled her into his arms and tried his best to comfort her, but once again he didn't know how.
Before long there was a knock at the door.
"I'll go get it," he said as he let her go. She just nodded and started to cry harder.
"Hey guys. What are ya doing here?" he asked as he opened the door to see Brian and Karla. Karla could hear her friend crying so she excused herself and went to see what was wrong with Lisa.
"What's up with her, Kev?" Brian asked.
Brian knew how much they loved each other, but he didn't know was why Lisa cried all the time.
"She's upset about leaving. I think part of it has to do with where they are going for the first week. And on top off all that her and Jennifer areat it again."
"What about now? Probably something dumb, right?"
Kevin nodded.
"Man Frack really needs to try to get his girlfriend to cool it. The part that I think is really stupid is she knows that Lisa is under enough stress already, but she starts shit anyway. Oh well. Maybe one day Lisa will get tired of it and just beat the hell out of her," Brian said as he noticed Kevin wasn't even paying attention anymore. "What's wrong with you?"
"I'm upset too that she has to leave and I'm still thinking about how to tell her who I am. I mean she is so stressed out now. I don't want to make it worse. I guess I better go see if she's okay now. It sounds like she isn't crying anymore." So Kevin and Brian went into the living room.
"Hey where did she go?" Kevin asked kind of surprised to see just Karla sitting on the couch.
"She went upstairs to take her pill," Karla said.
Lisa had asthma medicine she had to take everywhere she went.
"I'm really worried about her guys. She just seems to be getting more and more depressed. I haven't seen her this upset since highschool," she said as if remembering.
"How did she ever get back to her old self again?" Brian asked not really understanding.
"Well it took a very long time to come out of her depression. But I guess the key part of her snapping out of it was time and friends."
"I'll be right back. I'm going to go check on her. Kev you stay here with Karla," Brian said as he started up the stairs.
He knocked on the door and then pushed it open. "My God," he thought, "she is a total wreck." She was sitting on the floor with her head buried in her lap. It was obvious that she never did stop crying like they had thought.
"Lisa, are you alright? Everybody is worried about you," he said as he sat down next to her and slid his arm around her. She looked at him. Her eyes were red and swollen and her make-up was running. It was definitly the worse Brian had seen her.
"Bri I want to be left alone," she said still crying.
"I don't think you should be left alone right now."
"Well I don't want to be a disappointment to anyone else."
"Lisa you haven't been a disappointment to anyone. I don't even know how you could think such a thing."
"How could I think such a thing?! How could I think such a thing?! It's easy. That's what I am. Just ask Jennifer. She just called and told me I wasn't doing enough for Sweet Dreams. So since I was a disappointment that she was going to fire me. Plus I hurt Kevin earlier. I didn't mean too, but I did. So see I can't do anything right. So just get the hell out of here."
"Look no one thinks about you like that except yourself. So if you think that way then you are the only one who can change it. Now why don't you come down stairs with me," he held out his hand, but she shoved it away and got up and walked over to her dresser. She all of a sudden stopped crying and picked something up.
"Lisa what in hell are you doing?"
Just then Kevin walked in and seen a shiny object in Lisa's hand. And he remembered Karla just telling him that in high school when she was like this, she tended to be suicidal.
