"We're here, Kevin. What day are you planning on joining us?" Karla had just arrived and had called to get the final plans so she could be ready. She was a person who had to be organized.
He was surprised to hear from her already."Okay. Here is the deal. We are going to be there the morning before the big music festival. So you won't have but 2 shows to do yourself. So how are ya doing so far without her?"
"Pretty well. The guys are really helping me out. Thanks for sending them with us."
"No problem. It's the least I could do since I dumped a whole band on you. Well I wish I could talk longer but I want to talk to Lisa while Frick and Frack are out playing b-ball."
After they said their goodbyes, Kevin went upstairs to see what his girlfriend was doing.
He walked into an empty room. At first he started to panic, but then he heard the shower running. He started to turn to go out the door when he noticed a piece of paper that was almost totally covered by the blanket."What in the world?" he asked himself as he picked it up.
I'M BACK, ANGELFIRE! BELIEVE ME OR NOT, BUT SOON WE WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN. BECAUSE YOU AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR PRETTY BOY KEVIN. AND SOON HE WILL FIGURE THIS OUT TOO. I WANT YOU BACK AND I ALWAYS GET WHAT I WANT. REMEMBER? HOPE SO. UNTIL THEN I'LL BE THINKING OF THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD. LATER, KYLE
"Damn it," Kevin thought,"why didn't she tell me about this?"
Just then Nick and Brian walked in.
"Oh no, Kevin. I've seen that look before. What is wrong?" Nick was worried about his friend and was more than a little curious about the piece of paper Kevin had.
"C'mon and I'll tell ya down stairs."
They didn't ask questions, they just followed. When they got downstairs Kevin explained about the letter and told them what Karla had told him earlier.
"So you're saying the reason she flipped out earlier was because she knew Kyle was back in town?" Nick asked a little confused.
"Yeah. That and plus she has a ton of stress on her with the tour and everything else. Am I right Kev?" Brian asked.
But Kevin wasn't really paying attention. "Guys," he said, "we have to make sure he stays away from Lisa. Kyle can't have any contact with her. Or. Or. Or I might lose her for good."
"Don't worry. We'll do everthing we can to help you out. We are in this till the end," Nick said.
Now all they had to do was come up with a plan.
