"Karla can I ask you something about Lisa?" Nick asked.
"Sure Nick. But I'm not sure if I'll be able to answer or not," she replied.
He hesitated for a minute, then continued," How close were her and Jacob?"
"Well. I'm not supposed to say this, but when she turned 18 they were planning on running away together, but he died before they could. Hmm. How did you know about Jacob? I haven't heard Lisa talk about him since his death," she said.
"Well that is the reason Kyle is back," he said reluctantly.
"I don't understand."
"Never mind. I promised Lisa I would keep it a secret."
"Look Nick. Lisa is my best friend. I have to know what is going on." He shook his head. "Damn it Nick. Tell me." He still shook his head. "Fine, but since you know what is going on you better keep her out of danger or I will make your life hell," she screamed as she ran crying to her room.
"Oh man. I can't keep this a secret very much longer. She better hurry up and tell Kevin," he said to himself as he headed back to his room.
(Meanwhile)
"Honey. What's wrong?" Brian asked Karla. He had come over to see if she wanted to do something before the show, but found her crying on her bed. "Karla, stop crying and tell me what's wrong," he said softly. She finally explained to him what just in the lobby and after she calmed down he said,"I'm going to go talk to Nick and see if I can find out anything," and kissed her forehead and left.
Brian went down the hall to Nick's room. "Hey Frack, open up. We need to talk," he said as he knocked on the door.
"Hey Frick,"Nick said quietly as he opened the door to let Brian come in.
"Nick what exactly is going on?" Brian asked as he sat down in the chair.
"Bri, before I say anything get Kevin in here because he has to know too."
"Know what?"
"Just get Kevin in here and I'll tell you both at the same time."
In a few minutes Kevin, Nick, and Brian were all in Nick's room and he started to tell them what happened several years ago. "And that is why Kyle is back," Nick finished.
"Why did you keep this from me?" Kevin asked, starting to get angry and worried all at the same time.
"Look Kevin, Lisa said she would tell you when the time was right, but I just couldn't keep it a secret anymore. Personally I don't know how she did it for so long and for some reason I felt you had to know now," he replied.
"Fine. I know you're always loyal to friends, Nick, but this could have done a lot of damage. I mean this manic could of killed her and I would of thought she took her own life. Damn it. Why didn't she tell me?" he yelled.
"Kev," Brian said quietly, "I think she was just trying to protect the one she loved. In this case it just happened to be you."
"He's right Kevin. She said she didn't want to tell anyone because she didn't want anyone hurt," Nick said.
Suddently there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Brian said.
"Hello. I heard Kev yell so I thought I would come over to see what was wrong," Lisa said as she stepped into the room. As she looked around at the other faces she knew what just happened.
"How could you tell him? I told you I would when the time was right," she screamed at Nick.
"Lisa, he was just doing what was right. You should have told someone a long time ago," Kevin said as he walked over to her.
"I'm sorry. You're right. I should have, but I thought you would think it was my fault like I do. I don't want you to hate me," she said as she started to cry. He pulled her into a hug and let her cry on his shoulder.
Then the phone rang. Brian answered and everyone knew something was wrong because of how wide his eyes got. He slowly hung up the phone and sat down. "Guys," he whispered. "We have a huge problem."
"What?" they asked in unison.
"Well that was Karla and she said she just saw Kyle in the lobby," he replied.
"No!" Lisa screamed.
