By the time I was fourteen I had been in at least 15 foster homes. They were all the same. They never really wanted me or loved me. I mean they said they did but then I left and they didn't really care. I was tired of the false promises and broken hearts. I was tired of my life.
That's where my story begins. I decided I was going to leave the home for good. It was at least 2 days since I didn't go back to the orphanage. I just found the nearest park and cried. It was around 10:00 and still no one was looking for me. No one cared.
"Are you all right?" a stranger asked.
I didn't answer. I just looked up at him and saw the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. His blonde mushroom cut hair shined in the moonlight.
"I'm fine, just leave me please," I pleaded.
"I can't just do that, It's like 10 degrees out here and you have no decent jacket", he said concerned. "You'll catch a cold and die and then I'll see you on TV. 'Girl dies of coldness'. And then I'll blame myself and feel really guilty-"
"OK, I see your point," I said, kind of smiling.
He smiled back. His face was so angelic, so perfect, but filled with worry and concern.
"My name is Nick," he said extending his hand.
"Jenny." I was hesitant to shake his hand, but I finally shook it and then he helped me up.
"Nice to meet you, Jenny, So you hungry or something?" he offered
"Starving."
"OK, my friends and I are staying at a hotel a little ways from here. There you can call you parents and get some hot food. Come with me", he said extending his hand.
I was hesitant to take it but I finally reached out and took it. Look at me, I was going home with a stranger. A guy I hardly knew, but he was so fine.
I shook a little as we walked down the street.
"Here you can use my jacket," Nick said taking it off and putting over my shoulders.
"Thanks," I smiled at him.
We walked down to 58th street.
"We're staying at the Carnegie Hotel," Nick spoke as he pointed to it.
"Wow, It's huge."
"Yeah, you should see the rooms."
We walked inside the huge place and he took me to the elevators.
The doors opened and we stepped inside. He pushed the number 5 and then we started going up.
"So, how old are you?" I asked, making small talk.
"19, you?"
"17."
"Cool, my sister is around your age I think."
"Cool."
The doors chimed open and Nick stepped off first. Then I followed. We headed down to room 519. He stuck the key into the hole and unlocked the door. He stepped aside and let me in first.
"Ladies first."
"Thank you sir," I said, trying not to laugh.
"You make yourself comfortable and I'll be right back," Nick said turning to go out.

I walked out of the door and my pager went off again. I left my cell in the room cause I didn't want to be bothered. The guys had been paging me ever since I found Jenny. I went to the next room, which was my best friend, Brian. I knocked and waited for him to answer.
"Hey man, where have you been?" he asked.
"Walking, I found this girl crying in Central Park and she's beautiful man," I replied.
"So you go out and pick up a hooker, man what about Mandy, you know your girlfriend?"
"She's not a hooker, she's lost or something. You should come meet her." I defended her, then something caught my eye. It was the news and Jenny's picture was on it.
"In other news, a 17 year-old girl is missing from Lakeside Orphanage. Workers say that she was supposed to be home around 4:00 p.m. two days ago but never came home. This girl has shoulder-length brown hair, brown eyes and is about 5'6". If you have any information, Please contact the NYPD at 555-7239", the news anchor announced.

I sat on a chair and looked around. The room was huge. It had a king size bed, desk, TV, bathroom, and balcony. The bedspread had blue and purple daisy all over it and the scent of the room had the smell of Tommy cologne.
I turned to the TV and turned the switch on.
I saw my picture and the news anchor gave a little summary.
"Crap, I got to get out of here."
With that I headed straight to the door, but right as I was about to open it Nick walked in with a another guy.
"Hey Jenny, where you going?" Nick asked.
I stepped back. I knew he knew I ran away.
"I got to go"
"No wait," Nick's friend said. "We want to help"
"No one can help," I said before a fresh set tears rolled down my cheek "No one."
I leaned against the wall and slid down and wrapped my arms around my legs.I cried.
Nick's friend sat next to me. He introduced himself and then all three of us started talking. I told them everything and then they told me who they were. They were 2 of the Backstreet Boys. It was like they were my best friends. I found out we had so much in common.
"Nick," a girl said walking into his room. The girl looked at me in a disgust.
"Who's that?" she asked.
"That's Jenny-"
"Williams" I said standing up and holding out my hand "Nice to meet you, I work for a local radio station."
"Oh hi, I'm Mandy."
"Hi Mandy. Well, thanks for the interview guys," I said going to the door.
"Nick man I'm going to hit the sack, I'll see ya in the morning."
Brian and I both walked out of the door at the same time.
"Where you staying?" he asked me.
"In Central Park."
"No you're not, you can stay in my room tonight," he offered.
"No that's OK, I don't-"
"No arguments," he said, putting his finger up to my mouth.
I followed him into his hotel room.
"You can have the bed, I'll stay on the couch," he said, going to his suitcase.
"No let me stay on the couch, since you and Nick have been really nice."
"OK, but are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure"
Brian reached into his suitcase and grabbed some boxers and a shirt.
"Here, you can wear these," he said as handed the clothes to me.
"Thanks," I said.
I walked into the bathroom and changed. I looked in the mirror and saw Brian's clothes hanging off me. I walked out and sat on my makeshift bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Mandy and I made out for like an hour until she finally fell asleep. I couldn't get Jenny out of my head. I didn't want to. I kind of had second thoughts of finding her but I'm glad I did. I couldn't tell Mandy cause I know she would freak. Jenny made a really good excuse when she walked in here ,but I knew people would start getting suspicious. I had to think out a plan of what to do with her.
I grabbed the phone and dialed Brian's room number.
"Hello," Brian said, half asleep.
"Yo Brok, did Jenny leave?" Nick asked worriedly.
"No man, she's sleeping, Like I was just a minute ago," he said kind of mad,
"I'm sorry man, but I just don't know what to do. Should we send her on her merry way or turn her into the cops?"
"Dude, I don't know, but can we please figure this out in the morning?" Brian whined.
"Yeah sure, don't let her leave."
"I won't, bye."
"Bye."
I hung up the phone and soon fell into a deep sleep with Jenny on my mind.
