Davis Pioneer Days Daycamp
Davis Girl Scouts
hosted Pioneer Days in June 1998. A weeklong daycamp with one overnight. The
"Pioneer Days theme brought rolicking good fun to a local Davis park. Children
learned to make corn husk dolls, tin work, pottery, homemade ice cream, and even had an
old fashion hoe down. Centered at the Davis Girl Scout cabin, daycamp offered
swimming and other outdoor recreational activities.
Even the youngest Brownie can put up a tent, as
this 6 year old shows.Girl Scouts can do anything.
Older Junior Scouts helped the younger Brownies
and had a good camp experience themselves, earning several badges.
The Davis Girl Scout Daycamp was a success thanks to Girl Program Aides, adult volunteers, community help, and the girls. Troop 1540 thanks all who helped make our camp experience so great!
