Information | Paved parking is available. There is a
hands-on (and free) museum at the beach and a small restaurant and plumbed rest
rooms. The trail heads off to the left of this building along the beach. This
white sand beach boast beautiful sand cliffs. At low tide, you can walk the tidal pools. Look for crabs, jellyfish and other shellfish. Hike the beach around the white sand cliffs. Be careful with children in the water both for the power of the currents and because Great White Sharks feed off the seals that visit Pt. Reyes. This is the least dangerous beach at Point Reyes. The trail leads to Drakes Estero, a prime bird watching area in Point Reyes. We recommend that you plan your trip during a low tide. |
