| Info. | This is where John Marshall discovered gold on John
Sutter's property. The park has a reproduction of the milling operation that once
occupied the site. There are authentic mid-1800 buildings to explore. The park
has restrooms. Bring a picnic lunch and extra bread for the ducks and geese. Across the street (Highway 49), is an extension of the park that holds many historical monuments and activities. |
