To Jeff or to whom it may concern,
First of all I want to say as an Italian-Anglo-American how much I miss
Jeff's TV shows and books.
But secondly, I would like to comment on a recipe you printed in an
early
90ties book, "The Frugal Gourmet Cooks Italian". The recipe,
pasatelli was
a staple of my Italian Immigrant Grandmother who was from Emilia-Romagna.
I would like to suggest (with all due respect) that the flour and white
pepper ingredients be left out and nutmeg added. I've tried my
absolutely
favorite dish with the ingredients you listed and it wasn't the same.
May be
trivial but give it a shot, I think you'll like it better.
