A Prayer for Owen Meany is one of the best books I have ever read in my entire life.
I like John Irving, and he is at his all time best in this book.
The story is great, but even more so is the way it is written.
Irving's talent is stunning in this beautifully woven tale of the friendship of two young men.
Colleen McCullouch is another of my favorite authors. She is well known for The Thorn Birds.
Several years ago I first read Tim. I have never forgotten this beautiful love story about
a middle aged woman and a young mentally retarded man. I highly recommend this book.
When I find a book I like, I enjoy reading all the things that author has written. If you like
to do that too, then you should get the book that has three of her novels in it, because it is
a very good value. Tim is by far the best,
but the others are good too. If you just want to try one of her books, definitely start with Tim
Did you like the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes"?
The book is, as usual, about a million times better. I read the book first, then saw the movie, and was disappointed because there was so much they had to leave out. The book is long, and has so much more detail than they could put into a 2 hour movie.
Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man is so funny you won't even believe it. Be sure to read it when you don't have any pressing deadlines, because you won't be able to put it down!
