Arkansas- Sept. 3-10, 2000

My Grandfather is getting up in years and hasn't been well, so my Dad arranged to fly me and Trystan back for a visit the same week he had a vacation and was also there.

Several of you had expressed interest in pictures from our trip, so here is a little bit about our trip and some fun pics!

Trystan was saying "Airplane" quite a bit during the trip and thoroughly enjoyed the flight!

On The Farm

We stayed with my Aunt who lives in the country outside Jonesboro on part of the family farm property. While there, Trystan tried and liked fried okra (which was grown in the 'backyard') and every day he liked to go out to the chicken coop and check to see if any chickens had laid eggs. He learned to say "chicken" and "eggs" real well that week!

On the first day there, my Uncle Duane had to plow up part of the field for my Aunt, so he gave Trystan a ride on the tractor. He seemed to enjoy it, although in this pic, he looks like he's not too sure about it!
The Mule Ride

My Uncle Jerry has a friend a couple miles away who likes to make sorghum (Molasses) the old fashioned way- with cane presses driven by horses or mules- so we were invited to go see how it was made. Trystan got to ride a mule. He kept his hands over his eyes every second he was on the back of that mule! It was funny and so cute!

4 Generations

Of course the big thing that week was to get a picture of all 4 generations of Wiles' together- my Grandpa, my Dad, me, and Trystan. My Grandpa got a kick out of seeing his great- grandson!
