Custom Photography for your favorite mount by Karelin

Long known as a western photographer with numerous gallery showings and awards, plus many publications to her credit, Karelin has now turned to photographing model horses.

Her equine experience comes from years of showing western horses, riding on precision drill teams, and working cattle on large ranches in California, Washington and Idaho. Her photography shows a natural ability to "capture the moment". Samples of some of her work can be seen at the HAR Ranch web site.

HAR Ranch show horses are starting to hit the photo shows and are bringing home the awards. Also some of our customized horses, and mules, are being shown by their new owners and also placing in the ribbons.

The following prices are based on photographic costs as well as the usage of tack and props which are custom made here at HAR Ranch by PJ and Karelin. Any customer who would like us to use their own tack will receive a 15% discount.

On an average a Western Pleasure class takes 15-20 minutes to tack up, position the mount and take the photo. A lot of our photography is done outside and these take about 10 minutes more to prepare. Photo showing is principally on the model itself, showing the horse to its full advantage. A high quality picture will have the horse fill the frame with minimal background, except where surrounding props are necessary to explain the photograph. We have a number of backgrounds for various poses.

Negatives remain the sole property of HAR Ranch and will be kept on file indefinitely. Each print will be marked on the back with a negative ID code to be used for reordering any prints. Customers must understand that negatives and prints are protected under the PK Designs copyright law and cannot be reproduced by any other means.

At no extra cost each print will come with photo back information necessary for photo showing. Customer will only have to add class number(s) and a self-return address label as owner of the model.

Turnaround time for a photo shoot to be 2-3 weeks, this to include shipping time. Customer is to contact HAR Ranch to schedule a photo shooting session before shipping model. When we are given the model type we will tell you how many and what types of pictures we can do with this model. We will also quote a completed price. At this time if we find we are backlogged with orders we will suggest a later shipping date.

For RUSH jobs there will be an extra charge of $35.00. In this case we would suggest overnight shipping both ways.

SHIPPING INFORMATION:

Customer is to pay postage and insurance both ways.

Return postage to be included with payment:

$6.50 for the first plastic Traditional model and

$2.50 for each additional model.

$10.50 for each resin Traditional sized model. (Resins to be mailed in separate boxes)

$4.00 for the first plastic Classic model and $ 1.75 for each additional model.

$8.50 for each resin Classic sized model (Resins to be mailed in separate boxes)

$2.50 for the first LB or SM model and $1.00 for each additional model.

$4.50 for each resin LB or SM sized model (Resins to be mailed in separate boxes)

Insurance is highly recommended but is the choice of the customer.

HAR Ranch DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for horses that are NOT INSURED !!!

For insurance add $2.00 per $100 value per horse.

Horses leaving HAR Ranch are double boxed and specially wrapped for protection.

For UPS, Federal Express, overnight shipping add $10.00 to order. (This fee might possibly be higher depending on the weight of the package).

All photography sessions are payable at time model is received. For a large session pre-arrangements can be made whereas 50% deposit to be sent with the model. Balance due and payable before model and prints to be returned. $20 charge for any returned checks.
