Wes Borland was playin guitar and doin vocals for his band called Krank. His younger brother, Scott, was playin bass for the band. Fred, Sam, and John were unhappy with the guitarists they've been with. Either they were to heavy or not heavy enough. They were looking for someone real special. Wes turned out to have a good tune to what his guitar style is like. Fred noticed him and asked him to play for them. His brother came along and played keyboards for a few tracks.

There was a problem with Wes though, he was to weird for Fred. He was into crossdressing onstage and weird shit like that. So the band had kinda like a falling out and Wes and Scott left. A little while later, Wes rejoined the band but Scott didnt. So Wes doesnt cross dress on stage anymore, but he does do kooky things like wear a bunny suit or play only in his boxers and boots.
