Remember when we walked the sand
Fingers touching hand in hand
The sun was setting pink and blue
The sky so clear with purple hue
And beauty filled our senses

The words were spoken on a breeze
The moment right for you to seize
A golden band placed in my palm
A whisper from an ancient song
Lingers sweetly in the air
A heart bespoken of the dove
Engraved with God's eternal love
A heart to share a soul to give
Our lives united we will live
And laughter will ring true
But some things are not meant to be
A short walk through eternity
For you were taken far away
The spirit said you couldn't stay
Must I be left without you?
So soon he took you from my life
The pain goes through me like a knife
Your tenor I can hear no longer
Your touch not there to make me stronger
Frailty be-moans me
How can I live my life alone?
My heart is weighted like a stone
I weep my heart bleeds tears of sadness
Harrowing torment etched with madness
My tears flow freely
To feel your love is Gods true grace
Yet knowing I'll not see your face
Shine softly in the morning sun
Or kiss my lips when day is done
Your breathing silenced
Stifles all my strength and reason
Gives my plight just cause for treason
My life will never be the same
Knowing I'll not love again
The stars no longer glisten
The wind blows not the sand around
Small castles broken on the ground
The beach house glows in morning light
Somehow my heart feels not the fright
Of being here without you
My hands rest on my midriff swollen
My innocence and youth is stolen
Your essence grows within my womb
A child to fill that lonely room
Where we became young lovers
I feel you with me all the time
My love for you will always pine
In me you live, I live for you
And to your memory I'll be true
Until we're called together
On your side of our forever
