Cassandra

Cassandra is a very mythic cat.
Her movements are gracious and she is on stage most of the time, so she is dancing a lot.

Cassandra is a sleeky and tall siamese cat (yes, a siamese!)
She seems to have a knowledge of what is going to happen,
just like Tantomile and Coricopat.

She is the only character that doesn't wear hand- or legwarmer.
Besides that her back is white in New York and in the CATS National Tour IV,
but in Germany she is only white on her belly,
and this white is not as white as in the States, it's darker.
In london, Cassandra actresses are required to be at least 5'7" tall.
The funny thing is that Mistoffelees is required to be 5'7" or UNDER, so they make a very unususal pair!
In London, there seems to be less restrictions on the role: one Cassandra, Nina Radetic,
was perhaps the smallest person in the entire company.
Cassandra actresses may understudy some of the other
female singing roles, such as Demeter or Bombalurina.
During Mistoffelees song she is chosen to go under the big red...(what is it?) voluntarily,
so Mr.Mistoffelees can replace her by Old Deuteronomy (Of course she tries to escape,
but the other cats surround her and make sure she can't escape).
Her mythic charisma may be the cause why she is chosen to
be the cat who has to go under the big red...(here we are again...) and be replaced by Old-D.
She is kind the opposite of Old-D.
But as soon as Old-D is on stage, Cassandra is entering the stage and is welcomed by everyone.

Cassandra doesn't sing much, but sometimes you can hear her singing.
She sings in the Opening Number "Were you there when the pharaoh comissioned the Sphinx?" and in 'the Jellicle Ball' "Jellicle cats have moonlit eyes."
On Broadway, Macavity actually hits poor Cassie and sends her flying into one of the aisles in the audience!
That's all.
I think that she has something going on with Alonzo... ;)
