My husband and I are already legally married but are having a wedding for family and friends in early July. We are seeking a 'dignified-looking' person of any gender or race to act as a wedding officiant for the ceremony. An older person (40+) is preferred. The job will require you to perform the civil (non-religious) ceremony, the wording for which we have not researched/chosen/written yet. There may be extra compensation if you are able to write/find a ceremony structure and wording that we like. Acting experience in 'events' such as this is a bonus, as well as any 'official' public speaking experiences. Please email with any questions, or for clarification, and provide a photo as well as relevant work history. An in-person interview can take place sometime in mid-June. 'Costumes' will not be provided. Please wear business-casual to formal attire. It will not be a formal wedding. The job will pay for the 30 minute or so ceremony.
Thank you.
Location: downtown Toronto
Compensation: for approximately 30 minutes.
