Welcome to the official page for the The Blair Witch Camping Trip! What is this, you say? Well, that is what I am going to tell you right now! If you're here, I'm sure you've heard of that wonderful little flick known as the Blair Witch Project (scared the pants off of me!)...so you probably also know that it was filmed in Maryland. Anyways, myself and a few other fans of the film decided it would be fun (and most likely terrifying as well) to plan a little camping to visit the areas where the movie was filmed (I'll go into that in more depth a bit later). However, we are too wimpy to go just the few of us, so we are inviting any and all fans of the movie to join us on our little trip!
Anyone who wants to join us is welcome...all we ask is that you fill out our form that can be found on the
sign-up page so that we can keep track of who and how many are going.Right now many of the major details are still a bit up in the air, but a basic itinerary plan has been set. The plan at this point is to spend a day in Burkittsville, then move on to Spook Hill, then camp in the Seneca Creek state park, where the most of the forest scenes in TBWP were filmed. I will post a more detailed travel here as soon as it gets figured out. Because things are not set in stone yet, now is your opportunity to give us feedback so we can do our best to accomodate everyone's schedules. At the moment, the time we are aiming for is either Halloweentime (might be too soon...) or late march/early april (spring break for many people). Please be sure to specify which time would be best for you in the sign-up form. As more details emerge and become more concrete, they will be put up, so please check back on a regular basis.
If you have any questions at all, or have some information that could help us (i.e. info on flights, discounts, maps, whatever) please email us at tbwpcamp@hotmail.com. We look forward to you joining us and helping this trip to not be so little after all!
