..VACANT(they aren't that pretty)

If you clicked here, you probaby don't have any idea who the manufactured boy band is that Alyen and I like. First, you must realize that even though they don't look like a traditional boy band, because they only have four people and no one is way uglier than anyone else in the group (like Howie or Chris, because you and I know that none of them are cute, unless you're strange or something), they played their own instruments (the 2nd bassist sort of played) and wrote their own songs, their manager did follow the boy band formula.
The formula: 1. Get 4-5 guys late teens to early 20s with little or no musical talent.
2. Assign a group status: bad/popular(A.J.) , rude/conceited/popular(Justin), perverted(Joey), and just there(Kevin.)
3. Change names of people in the group to sound cute or something (Lance, JC, A.J., Abs)
4. Make sure they hate eachother/behave badly(not necessary, but makes great tabloid headlines)
5. Designer clothes
6. Make sure there are allies (friends for you stupid people) to fight with the other half, 3/5 whatever.

How this appies to this group: 1. 4 guys 18-21 with some or no talent, yet all wanted to be famous somehow.
2. bad/popular(2nd bassist, all of the group was bad, but he was the baddest) rude/conceited/popular(Singer) perverted(Guitarist) just there(Drummer)
3. Name change: Bassist(2nd) and singer had the same first name, bassist's entire name was changed, singer's last name was changed(both were changed to help the group's image as "bad boys"
4. All of them hated 1st bassist, manager, and at times, eachother.
5. Their manager owned clothing shops in London which supplied them with free designer clothing.
6. The singer and bassist were friends since they were little kids, guitarist and drummer thought the bassist was an idiot, and didn't have too much of a problem with the singer.

First I'll tell you who it's not.

It's not BSB, *NSYNC, 5ive, NKOTB, Take That, Boyzone, New Edition, Hanson, Jackson 5, Osmonds, Monkees, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis, etc.(note: not all of these are manufactured)

Still Wondering?
