- Iron Fist #11-12: The Wrecker frees his compatriots, and they force Iron Fist to help them break into Avengers Mansion. Together with Captain America and the Avengers training room, the Wrecking Crew is defeated.
- Thor vol.1 #304: The Wrecking Crew frees themselves from prison, fight Thor in New York. Thunderball escapes, though the rest of the crew is defeated by Thor.
- Iron Man vol.1 #171: An unstable Thunderball seeks revenge on his former girlfriend who has married another man. Iron Man (Jim Rhodes) manages to defeat him.
- Amazing Spider-Man #247-248: Thunderball steals the wrecking bar, gaining its full power for himself. He is defeated by Spider-Man.
- Secret Wars #1-5: The Wrecking Crew is among the group of villains chosen by the intergalactic being known as the Beyonder to fight against a band of superheroes thousands of light years away from earth.
- Secret Wars #6: The Crew shoots the Wasp and captures the Lizard. The Wasp narrowly escapes death due to the stasis ray used on her shortly after being shot and the healing powers of the alien woman Zsaji.
- Secret Wars #7: The Wrecking Crew is badly beaten by a vengeful She-Hulk. The abrupt appearance of Titania turns the tables on the green-skinned amazon, and the Crew is able to recover and give her a taste of her own medicine.
- Secret Wars #8: The Crew, along with the other super-villains, are defeated by a contingent of heroes invading Doombase.
- Secret Wars #10: The Wrecking Crew is freed of imprisonment by Wolverine and Captain America when Doombase begins to collapse.
- Secret Wars # 11-12: Molecule Man transports a missing suburb of Denver back to earth from the Battleworld. Among its passengers are the Wrecking Crew.
- Avengers #273: The Wrecking Crew participates in Baron Zemo's plan to take over Avengers Mansion.
- Avengers #274: The Wrecking Crew, along with Mister Hyde and Goliath, beat Hercules nearly to death (good thing he's Immortal!).
- Avengers #276: As the Avengers retaliate against the Masters of Evil, Thor manages to drain all of the Crew's powers, funneling them back into the Wrecker.
- Avengers #277: The Wrecker fights against Captain America while Thor battles Goliath.
- Spectacular Spider-Man #125: The Crew clashes with Spider-Man and the new Spider-Woman.
- Spectacular Spider-Man #126: The Wrecker frees his compatriots. He and Thunderball fight over the Norn powers, and Spider-Man intervenes.

- Avengers Annual #19: The Wrecker is one of many villains attempting to prevent the reconstruction of Avengers Mansion. Fortunately, the construction workers are vigilant.
- Thor vol.1 #418: The Wrecking Crew decides to beat on Hercules once more. This time, he's not drunk, and hands them their heads. Ouch.
- Thor vol.1 #426: It's the Crew vs... Code: Blue? Gimme a break...
- Thor vol.1 #427-428: The Wrecking Crew vs. Code: Blue vs. Thor vs. Excalibur.
