FF7--2?

Final Fantasy VII-2?

No, I'm not talking about Final Fantasy VIII. That game sucked donkeys. I'm talking about a real sequel. Don't get your hopes up, people, this is only an idea. Enough of this, now! Let's move on.

The Game, in General

"We all know what happened to the world during a journey known as Final Fantasy VII. What we don't know is what really happened. I should know. I was there."

"My name is Ilektris. I found the group of adventurers looking for Sephiroth while I was looking for my broach in Midgar. I joined them and..."

That's the opening scene. The game starts after you get out of Corel Prison. You start in Midgar, controlling Cloud like in FFVII, only this time you meet a young girl named Ilektris, who joins you after a lengthy (and hard) mini boss.

After that, more characters join the game. One of which being Chibi Sephiroth--me--who ends up joining them with a broken arm. Effie joins later, after the Yuffie-Stole-My-Materia thing. She has no connections to Yuffie. Gjinn comes in when you go to Midgar right after the Nanki-In-Cosmo-Canyon sequenceial [sp?] events (he's in the ShinRa building). The funny thing is you actually have to start out fighting Gjinn, but he suddenly stops and leaps atop a big test-tube thing and starts washing his paw where he got cut. Yuffie and Vincent are essential in this game.

There are two secret characters--Ilishia AKA Spell Master and Nemesis. You get Nemesis not long after Effie if you said the right things to her when you first met her ('What are you doing here?' '...That's too bad.' 'Yes, I really mean it.' and 'What's your name?') You go to Nibelheim and the place Vincent was (in the basement, you'll get the key automatically because you have to get Vincent in the game) and in the far right corner there will be a closed coffin. Open it and talk to Nemesis. He won't tell you much. But if you have Effie in your party, he'll insist on joining you.

Getting Ilishia's a bit trickier. You have to go to Midgar at the exact time and the exact place to find her, and if she runs off screen you'll lose her for good. You have to be quick and talk to her. You say, 'No one.' then 'Cloud...' then '...Sorry.' don't say 'I bet you can take care of yourself.' then say 'Okay.' Then you'll get to name her. After that a boss will appear--one of ShinRa's developments--and you have to fight him. Ilishia is on the other side of the screen and if she gets hit three times, you're screwed. Cast ReRaise on her and Barrier and MBarrier and use the Cover Materia. When the battle's over she'll catch her breath for a minute and then she'll join your party. In the first battle she really sucks and that's because she didn't use her Materia. Trust me, she would rule. She has Odin, Knights of the Round, Mime, Shiva, Bahamut ZERO and can gain access to any Materia.

If Ilishia joins your party, the game changes a little. She dies around chapter 5 so before she does take all her Materia and equipment except the Pendant (you can't take it) and give them to Aeris (because Aeris won't die for at least 2 more chapters). Also take her alter-ego's (Spell Master, who will be referred to as SM) equipment and Materia (her Materia's the same so you'll have double. Vincent would be good with it, or Nemesis). Giver SM's gun to Vincent and her hard-hat to Cid.

In the game, Cloud and Tifa become Chibi Sephiroth's best friends in the group. Mainly, Tifa is the nicest to him, followed by Cloud and Aeris. Barret doesn't like him much and neither does Yuffie at first. Chibi Sephiroth ends up dying a few chapters after Aeris. It's probably the saddest funniest moment in the game, because when Chibi Seph. says something it comes out in a funny way and makes Tifa esspecially laugh.

After Chibi Seph. dies, the party loses memory of everything that happened and Ilektris vanishes. They go on like the first FFVII, and it shows the ending sequence to the original game. But, before the star scene, it shows where Ilektris went.

"That is the truth of it. The pause where the events showed was filled up with what you saw in Final Fantasy VII. The truth is out there now. But now, Mother is calling me." You see Ilektris in FMV for the first time, walking to Aeris.
