(what "Lipstick Kills" means)

I began making this page on June 12, 1999. Now, being a whole day later, I felt I should explain to you exactly what the title "Lipstick Kills" means to me.

First, I'll start with "lipstick." Lipstick is something that (hopefully) everyone associates with the female gender. Women wear it get noticed. Men wear it to look like women. But whatever you think about it, to me, lipstick stands for the brave females today.

"Kills." Now, with that word in mind, you may be thinking I'm some sort of psycho. Lipstick Kills. Kills what? What the hell are you talking about? Well, "kills" is a violent word, but it works here, because it doesn't really mean "to kill someone." The way I see it, it means to ruin, damage, take over.

And that's exactly what lipstick does. It kills. "Lipstick Kills." Women can do damage, too. Our music is just as good as anyone's out there, and there's no reason why anyone should think otherwise without first getting a taste of it. After a listen you may find that you don't like it, and that's ok. Everyone's got their own opinions.

So, what I've been winding down to is "The Lipstick Kills Philosophy." I've probably mentioned it before. Women can do damage, too.
