Nine Inch Nails...of course I used to worship Trent Reznor...but I grew out of that and I like the music that he put out earlier in the decade but I have not really listened since the Downward Spiral came out...it was a bit too mainstream and gained too much attention and I simply burned out on it..then it took 5 years to put out a new album and though I have a single from a while back, I have no plans of buying any new albums.
Christian Death...mostly the stuff that Rozz did but some of the rest is good too.
Front 242...the "Headhunter" group. But they do have some cool sounds to them.
Nosferatu, also a band with a good melancholy sound.
Depeche Mode...been listening to them for a very long time, back when people didn't know what a synthesizer was...(damn I'm showing my age)
Siouxsie & the Banshees..set the standard for the style I grew up with....she's one reason I am still a "goth" today...I started listening to her when I was 14 and they couldn't put a name on the way I dressed back then (mod works I suppose).
The Cure...I loved them in the early years (before 1987) then Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me came out, and it was okay, but they really seemed to sell out on the albums that followed, and since I was not really into the mainstream I decided to stop buying their albums...so I have no knowledge of how their new stuff sounds...
Alice In Chains...cool band but I'm a little pissed that they didn't play in concert when they were scheduled a few years back, because of Layne Staley's drug problems...guess it's a bit too late to see them in concert now =(.
I also listen to a little metal...
Metallica, of course, though I like the older sounds better, since the new stuff kinda goes in different directions (a song that sounds kinda like country just doesn't do it for me)
Pantera...what else can I say...these guys kick ass and I have yet to hear a song that I don't like by them...they really deserve a lot more credit than they receive.
Motley Crue...one of the first metal bands I got into as a kid...they were cool then but I just haven't really gotten into the music since "Girls Girls Girls" came out...
Judas Priest..the priest kicks ass! Both singers fit the band well and I'm glad they went on when Rob left...still kicking ass!
KISS...finally saw them in concert a few years back, and yes, they've still got it!
Iron Maiden...yet another hard group I grew up with
White Zombie/Rob Zombie...love the sound...love the artwork
Beborn Beton, Bauhaus, Echo & the Bunnymen, Nitzer Ebb, New Order, Joy Division, Funker Vogt, KMFDM, Human League, Skinny Puppy, Sisters of Mercy, Love and Rockets, Tones on Tail, The Smiths, Oingo Boingo, Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, Violent Femmes, Black Flag, Adam Ant, INXS, Midnight Oil, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Yaz, The English Beat, Fishbone, The Untouchables, Suicidal Tendencies, Ozzy, The Clash, Laeatherstrip, REM, Korn, and countless others...
(Like I said before, this is just my opinion, and if you disagree, that's cool...go ahead and yell at me I can handle it)
