C'mon c'mon... you know you like her. How could you not? Her song is more addictive than JC's crack, she was on the Mickey Mouse Club, and she has never and is NOT dating anyone from NSync. (Well... there was that one time during the 7th season of MMC...)
As for me, I have mucho respect and love for her music and her as a person. Her voice is so powerful and there's an aura about her that says, "Look at me! Listen to me!" Maybe it's because she's about 3 feet tall and can sing like Celine Dion #2. And when she belts it, everyone is so blown back and taken away by that amazing voice. When I first heard her on the radio, I honestly thought she was African American. Oh yeah, I know you did too. She beats out Britney in the vocals... but just BARELY. Her voice is a little more matured and developed than Britney's, so that's what gave her the edge.
Another thing I love about Christina, is she is so natural. No fake hair, no fake tan, no fake boobs (jeez, obviously). She's real and is not afraid to show what she's got. Go girl. I am all about being what you want, doing what you want, up to an extent and as long as it's what the Lord gave you. I have so much respect for her for not giving in and being just "another pop star" by touring with NSync or Britney Spears. Instead, she's going to be on the "Lilith Fair", with fellow female artists who just want to go out there and perform.
"Genie in a Bottle" has got to be one of the catchiest songs of the summer. It is one of our official theme songs and my best friend and my theme song that we live by. Not only is the tune and harmony addicting, but the words are so awesome. Since I'm so picky, it totally describes my rules for guys. Hear that Justin? RUB me the right way.
You can bet that Christina will be an artist who'll be around for a long time. As far as I'm concernced, she's already proven herself. I guess all she needs is a guy to let her out of her bottle. Oh, Lance...
