It is amazing, how many
people answer this
question, most
people describe a christian as follows:
1) a christian goes to church
2) a christian is always a nice person
3) a christian does not consume alcohol
4) a christian does not smoke
5) a christian does not swear
6) a christian never sins
7) a christian gives money
I think that you get the point,
but none of these things
makes
a christian.
A christian is someone that knows
that he or she is a sinner,
saved by grace, and has accepted
Jesus Christ as their Savior.
They believe that Jesus paid the
debt for their sins, on the
cross of calvary.
"For all have sinned and come
short of the glory of God".
Romans 3:23
"whosoever believeth on Him shall
not perish, but have
eternal life."
John 3:15
"If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just
to forgive
us our sins,
and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
"Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be
born again, he cannot
see the kingdom
of God".
John 3:3
Becoming a Christian, is much
more then going to church.
It is becoming a new person,
by admitting, that Jesus died for
our sins while we were
yet sinners. And it is
accepting the gift
of salvation,
by asking Jesus Christ
into our Hearts.
"That if thou shall confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised Him from the
dead, thou shall be saved.
For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness, and with the
mouth confession is made unto
salvation".
Romans 10:9
What a Christian really is:
A Christian believes in Jesus Christ,
receives Jesus Christ
and shares Jesus Christ with others.
My prayer is that you will
come to know Jesus Christ
as
your personal Saviour.
JESUS PAID A DEBT HE DIDN'T OWE-
BECAUSE WE HAD A DEBT THAT
WE COULDN'T PAY!!
