#911 Devil Fish

(episode guide by Embers)

Movie Summary

Apparently there's some kind of giant sea creature who kills people and other people go after it and it attacks and there's dolphins and stuff happens and there's blue scenes and the actors are Italians pretending to be Floridians and there's bad music and two identical couples make out on a beach and the creature attacks again and they go after it again and there's an electrician and...oh, never mind.

Host Segments

Prologue: Mike is imitating Angela, the character from "The Net." Turns out they just stole his wallet, and Servo and Crow find it.

Segment One: Castle Forrester is turned into a ship after their phone number gets published in an ad for a cruise deal. Fortunately, they only have two guests. Pearl has Mike, Crow, and Servo make ice sculptures out of ice cubes. Servo makes a gin and tonic, Mike tries to weld his, and Crow makes Michelangelo's David out of four cubes.

Segment Two: Mike, Crow, and Servo call Blowey the Dolphin. A dolphin warship attacks the SOL when Blowey gets mad.

Segment Three: Mike reads to the 'Bots from Mary Tyler Moore's After All. Mike makes fun of the electrician that Pearl sent, then the dolphin warship attacks again.

Segment Four: Pearl uses an image and sound filter to make Mike and the 'Bots look first vaguely Italian, then broadly Italian, then like Italian caricatures.

Segment Five: Crow and Servo discuss better mixtures of sea creatures than a octopus and a shark. The cruise guests have dinner with Captain Bobo. Bobo has to be shot with a tranquilizer gun.

Stinger: The monster is making noises. Janet: "Bob, it's right underneath us!" Bob: "I know!"

My Thoughts

Ah, what an oddessy it was for me to get to this ep. We went on vacation the week this ep was first shown, and it was right after I started recording the eps. I set the VCR and asked my grandma to turn the TV on before Saturday. She said she'd try to. I got so paranoid about missing the ep that I called right before 2:00 on Saturday to ask her if she had turned on the TV. She hadn't, of course. So I made her run over and turn on the TV right quick. It cut off the first few seconds of the theme song, but the rest of the ep was perfectly perfect. God bless America.
